Vaal on Tuesday 28/11/2017

Race 1: It's all about which of de Kock or Peters first timer can beat Sailor Man. Seven Sovereigns and Powered By Malhub stable only runners for the day -- Powered By Malhub from that stable that I discounted last time on Short On Sweet -- 0% strike rate but 35% places - winner is due anyday now. Sailor Man is rested, and It's going to take an above average one to beat him.
Race 2: The race is about whether you back Ouro or not - for this horse, had trouble in both starts and certainly worth the 2/1 currently available. There are a few expensive sorts here and lot's of first timers. On exposed form Ouro and Flying Falcon on par - but on class, Ouro is streets ahead. There is no sure thing in racing - but this sort of horse will win more often than not.
Race 3: There is nothing between Mohalella and Memphis Belle with Mohalella getting the edge on class. They could both show enough improvement to beat Levi Lady - but it could be close.
Race 4: Cannes would win if he can be held together off his last race, I don't think he can though and that opens the door for casciano - also stables only runner for the day. Slight chance that the Tin Man or Premier Show could improve by about 2 or more lengths to win here. Flag Of France could produce a place run.
Race 5: There is so little between Fish River and Frederico's Dream here - in fact Frederico's Dream having the edge on class that I suspect the other de Kock runner Only To Win is going to successfully drop down to the shorter trip and win.
Race 6: Kahlua Rose should be able to come back to 1400m and beat Lady Lucinda from Sim-Alley bank
Race 7: Here is a case of pitting a very classy horse- noble secret against Man's Inn and the very interesting runner Desert Sunset. The horse has class - tries the mile for the first time, but will face a real stiff test here. I don't know which of Man's Inn or Desert Sunset could prevail if he flops. There is a potential marwing double in play here with Lady Lucinda and Desert Sunset - so watch that angle.
Race 8: Rajisthani Queen should get the better of Galu Beach - but they could both be surprised by horses like Navette and Teenage Dream if she can be held together -- and she can potentially.

From you lips to Gods ears. He took his last race well after his injury and ran above expectations. Randell was very apologetic after the race, it is one of those things that happen in racing. He is fit and well, hoping the second run after a rest doesn't catch him out. We are hoping for a big effort from him today.
Hoping to get through to lead him in.
