Sorry I have only just caught up with the thread. Interesting comments and opinions.
Mayfair Speculators never existed until a year or 2 ago. Suddenly all the one owner horses were part of a Private Company with many shareholders, no doubt.
Surely the horses, trainers, grooms and jocks won't suddenly suffer? Yes, maybe one of the important people in the company may no longer be a part thereof, but the others are also people with means. All they have to do is buy MJ shares out and they can carry on with business of horseracing as usual?
Or am I missing something BIG here?
I will be glad to hear if anyone disagrees with me - and Bob, I have taken note of your post that you heard Edict already being sold.

.....if the taps are shut and nothing can be paid for.....the NHRA should then form a trust and hold the owner stakes.....to settle future claims for training fees etc.....some of the trainers cannot fund the potential loss of training fees with their 7-10% chop alone.....any interim horse sales proceeds should also go into the trust to prevent a future catastrophe.....the surplus in the trust....will then be a potential asset for seizure or returned if found not complicit in an eventual prosecution.....

Everyman on this forum would dip into his pocket to save a horse or groom.
But we want to see action 1st.
Like I said it’s time to pick sides.

Just about the time the Germans first started looking - the timing of this is going to come back to bite him perhaps

lets just use 100 horses in training - barebones say you could look after them for 6k including vets each horse -600k
Where on earth will this come from ? I'm sure he raced at a loss - I know the amount should be higher but I do know he started buying less local in the last few years
