That was exactly what I thought Frodo but then then heard the interview with spies who said horses make fools of us but with a big smile on his face and Zackey seemed to be pretty chuffed coming into the winners enclosure.My take on it is like this,put R1000 on the first timer and the bookies panic and shorten it drastically.Wait till the stable companion goes out to the price they want and then back it.Mazari went from 4's out to 7.5-1 and then backed into 5-1.Not sure if that is what happened but it could have.

Unlucky for the Sham's there.Had everything well beaten except another first timer.Look at the betting moves on Tripod,I think they went in about 8 or 9 times so big money would have been won.

My last bet will be on Wellspring......then for a lekker snoek braai
