KZN Racing can’t afford a sand pit in a crèche atm!

All the money put aside (ring fenced) is there plus with the way it was invested. Dont worry about that. Scottsville was always planned to have a second short break now in an effort to make it even better through the season. Grass has been great but will be even better when it has another treatment.

Yip Craig, after all the years of criticism, when they give it their best there are still questions....
I must say that whilst I may not agree, for instance, with the scarifying of Greyville at this time of year, I am most impressed by the genuine efforts being made to keep the courses in top condition.
I love it when people do their best for Racing !

The closing of the Vaal sand track was a big loss for South African racing.
While the track itself needed to be improved, the decision by the Operator to close it down without much, if any resistance, from our racing institutions, be it the RA, the Breeders, the trainers etc. is indicative of where our sport is and the sad position it finds itself in.
A whole segment of our industry decimated, owners had bought horses specifically for this surface, breeders bred horses conducive to sand, while the ostriches buried their heads in the sand and looked the other way, similar to what was done with the capture of our horseracing by the Jooste/Wainstein/Du Plessis cabal.
Another track closure by the Operator done and dusted with barely a murmur by the serfs.
While Scottsville might not be the ideal venue, why not push for the planning and establishment of a sand track elsewhere ?
