Till Dawn making handicap debut looks an interesting runner. 12/1 on the nose, courtesy of Young Generation

Not sure one can classify the SA Classic winner as a 'donkey'

Tirzan went from winning a 66 to unplaced in an 80 so I suppose he might be the Donkey while Lobo had been running against some top sorts..

There was plenty of support for Tirzan - Not sure this course the Classic suited it and the rise in MR. - 170k traded on Interbet Win the only horse backed.

As far as Lobo's , I have been following him since he started as I was very impressed with his 2nd start , Marcus was up and he was so stiff in not winning getting beaten a nose by Buffalo Bill Cody , but only as he ducked at the line.

His next up he won his Maiden by 8.5 over 1160m at Turf, not many hoses win by that far over a sprint.

Thereafter he got beaten another nose over 1160 m in a very fast time, the winner just got away from him at the 200 and on that day I thought he was not tuned up.

At the end of January they took him down to CPT to take on Dutch Phillip in the RTR Race , everything went wrong that day in the stalls and he was scratched at the start.

Joe then gave him a break and brought him back at the begining of March over 1160 again , he reared in the pen , kicked the gate on was lame. On this day as well although he was favourite , I saw him in the ring and thought he was underdone , thus ran unplaced.

Saturday I had a half a go on him , I was worried about the distance , but his mother went up to 1800 m and out of Trippi , I thought he would have a chance . It paid off.

I think he is way above average , not sure how he will fair against the CPT horses in the season but see he has been entered in the July Betting at 20/1 , if he lines up , we all know it wont be the strongest July in history , however I think that 2200 will get to him.

What was worrying Marco about 200m from the finish.I can't see the replay but seemed to be wiping something from his face.

Durbs - Had a look you are right , looks like he changed stick from left to right then stratches his neck or back of his ear. Wierd 200 to go unless his body protection was hurting him or something.
