True but still thin pickings, whereas the sprint overall, and year on year, does get the best available in the country, at WFA ,even if its not a vintage year every single year.

You have the Cape sprint feature winners and contenders in this, almost every year, and even the KZN hopefuls as a rule.Its likely that the best of this field will be big contenders in the big G1 sprints in the next few months.
The " Main race" horses represented here will likely not all be pitted against each other in numbers, at least not many at WFA. The 3 yo races likewise dont often reflect the best in the country even if occasionally there is a star.

Definitely not to be ruled out. Was thought to be a contender in CT and looked very dangerous in that false start that ended his ambitions there. Would want to see the MDK comments on him.
I think If Sgt Hardy was drawn on the other side rail and the going was not biased against him he would be a good bet regardless of opposition, but his low draw may be a factor. The only time I saw him race on that side of the track he ran badly (even though was at Kenilworth) and he does seem to have a preference for the way he runs and rail position. He did run a good prep I thought though without his preference.

Bishops Bounty shakes his head, is slow into stride or loses momentum in almost every race but on his diadem run would not suprise me if won. Watch that replay, was actually an amazing run considering the start.
And then of course ..Trip to Heaven..who knows but maybe this time?..Those mentioned would be my 4 even though some good form from others.
