Track looks to be running a little 'strange' with kickback like Southwell.
And, of course, there's good old Bernard - panel beating the s***t out of everything; whether they need the run or not.
I suppose the trainers will say : 'Needed the run' (ref : 'Excuses' Volume 1 of 30) whereas, if they were truthful, they should say : 'Needed a good hiding'. Which they got.
Your analogy got me giggling for a few second :woohoo:

Just had a message about the sand... They say although it didn’t look good tonight, when they can get more water in it and it beds in all will be fine

A very tricky day for punters with all the favourites getting rolled in the exotics.
Very pleased with Elusive Heart's run- a game 3rd only beaten a length.
Not a huge crowd, but enough to create a fair vibe. Owners and trainers with feature race runners were treated to a decent dinner.
The track was running fast, and quite a stiff tail wind. The sandy kickback looked alarming, but the jocks said it wasn't a problem. Noticed that those horses that made their run up the straight middle to outside went considerably better than those that chose the inside run. Worth bearing in mind when assessing this form.
On to Turffontein tomorrow to cheer on Silvan Star.

Re: Greyville Friday Night
7 years 3 months ago.....that is even more bazaar.....thought that when they did the poly recently they still getting severe kick back when wet.....so they arsed that up too....now unwashed silicates on the grass surface is even a bigger f@ck up.....was this the spare sand for the poly... ..because it looks like this sand may have the wrong pH being unwashed....it will seriously impede growth and thus the grass will look off colour..... :SCraig Eudey wrote: Muthiman, you talking about the poly?
