NB. Due to protest action preventing horses from leaving Randjesfontein, all runners based at Ranjesfontein will be scratched from today’ss race meeting. Race 7 has been cancelled and entries for that race will be reopened for next Sunday. For betting purposes today, the field will apply in race 7.

Phumelela were withholding scratchings while they worked out how to get today to go ahead. Trainers today are working their backsides off at raandjies to feed, muck out and give water to their horses in multiple barns as no grooms are around. I would suggest a little more empathy today instead of being worried about your quick fix for the day. You’re thinking is similar to that of Phumelela who are leaving trainers to fend for themselves at raandjies.

They might aswell cancel as the fields that are left makes this card not worthwile and the pools are likely to be small.
