It's a big weight to carry regardless but yes I agree.

I just wonder why he didn't have a go in the Tsogo regardless of the weight he would have carried if he is running here anyhow with 62kg. He may be better over the 1000m but still would have rated him in the big race.

Likewise wondering what happened to Bishops Bounty as I thought the Tsogo would have been suitable?

I agree with drdom here. I make Kasimir a massive runner in the Tsogo Sun Sprint. He has never finished outside the first 2 over sprints. His comeback run over 1400 meters was a decent one and should be at fitter now. On Met Day he ran 0,5 lengths behind Dutch Philip at level weights. if Dutch Philip was running here he would have to give Kasimir 5 kg's and would probably be close to the top of the betting boards. In December he beat Speedpoint and gave him 3,5 kg's, he is now in receipt of 2 kg's. It looks like the 1200 meters could be his optimum trip now. Snaith and van Niekerk seem to be picking up feature races at will this season. He has shortened down to 10/1 but still looks like decent value to me.

I would love to see Pinnacle Peak win for my mate but feel at his current rating will battle to give 3,5 kg's to Kasimir.
