R2 I hear Mdk’s can run so therefore warrants respect. Best of the raced runners and maybe the exacta horse for me is red Tara.
R3 Very Tricky, agree with Silver that Pettigrew horse makes appeal but has had its chances and may be vulnerable. Nothing in the breeding of the first timers rings any alarm bells so who knows. Crassus possibly some place value but more out of hope.
R4 JvV has a strong hand with Picture me and Dreams are Made of. My preference is for the latter with Lyle up. I think will enjoy the drop in trip and blinker strike. Those two for the pa for me.
R5 Also a very competitive race. Agree re the sentiments on Zero Dark Thirty, was expecting this horse to be a bit shorter som there’s maybe some value, but the concern is why isn’t he shorter. Manitoba is consistent and warrants inclusion. Roughie for back end of Quartets is sleep in Seattle.
R6 For some reason I can’t have Hafla or Make me happy and am prepared for the egg and to look like a fool. My fancy is Tia. For me she’s done nothing wrong. The intro over the sprints were respectable and as soon as she stepped up to a more suitable trip she obliged although not beating much. Lack of money is a concern but hopefully the notion of not knowing their price applies. An idiot bet not to leave out is Kapenta bay especially if the track is running fast.
R7 Buffalo Bill’s race to lose. Torio and Zackey horse place prospects.
R8 Banana Replublic, very in and out sort but I can’t believe it’s taken so long to send her over a bit more ground. 1800 May still be too short but at least getting a bit more ground must go close. Roughie for quartets is Matanuska.
THE PINK PANTHER comes off a rest and even though may be not at peak fitness could fight it out. The same applies to TEXT ME who races as a gelding for the first-time who should get close if problems sorted out. CHAILYN BOY, GONE WITH THE WIND, ICE EATER and ROYAL DELIGHT could earn, Watch stable companion newcomers.
Tricky. BRAVE ZNDAYA (hampered last time), FARARANGA and RED TARA should finish close together on recent form. HEAR THE TRUMPET showed marked improvement after a rest. SNOWBALLED found all sorts of trouble when backed on debut. A fancied newcomer could win - watch especially SOLID SATIN, NAFAAYES and WELSH HARP.
PRINCE JORDAN finished 2 lengths in front of KING OF THE DELTA last time but the latter appears more consistent and could reverse it. CAMEL WALK was a bit disappointing last time and could make amends. KING OF POP and GOOD EMPEROR could make the frame. Watch newcomer PHILOS.
Competitive. Stable companions DREAMSAREMADEOF (blinkers on now), PICTURE ME and DEERUPT (races before this) are all in with winning chances. ENSEMBLE was blowing heavily last time and could make amends. HURRICANE LASS has been struggling to crack it but could get it right here. Look for improvement from REHAANA LASS - the form has been franked.
Competitive. The nod goes to consistent TOKYO DRIFT who always gives a run for money. SHOGUN is another honest campaigner and should again be in the mix. He could confirm form with ZERODARKTHIRTY who cannot be discarded. CAPTAIN CHIPS and MANITOBA have definite money claims. If DARKEST HOUR finds true form he could easily dispose of this field. SKY HIGH has scope
MAKE ME HAPPY has been runner up twice after 2 successive wins so the form is there, however, she meets HAFLA on 3kg worse terms for 2 lengths and has a wider draw. The latter could turn it around. WITCH OF THE WEST needed her last outing and from pole position could make them gallop. ANGELIC and recent maiden winner TIA could make up quartets.
Difficult to assess. If BUFFALO BILL CODY returns to expected true ability he should walk away with it. However, he narrowly beat a bunch of hard knockers last time but the mile could be what he's looking for. If he fluffs his lines all of SO LONG SPRING, FULL OF ATTITUDE, TORIO LAKE and stable companions MISSOURI, HELIOS and AURORA AUSTRALIS could capitalise
A moderate line up in the final event where the form has been erratic. CANDELA has been not far off them and could get her just reward. AFROGATTO was well beaten but showed improvement last time. With blinkers now fitted could go all the way. GENEROSO disappointed last time but should do better here. COJIMAR and TAKE MY WORD have wide draws to overcome but could make the frame.
