From a purely ABC point of view and with one poster directly singled out... Unarguably one of the best (if not the best) tipsters on this site MrH, was merely a shadow whilst formgrids was down. Formgrids came back and all of a sudden he was back full on with his cult following, this surely added to turnover.. now this might be a drop in the ocean, but imagine how many people have their own following that without formgrids would be in the proverbial bush.... Short sightedness of biblical proportion imvho.

Don’t forget it’s a tool that the lucky 5% who actually win at the game use, bookies won’t be hurrying to help

Crowdfund.

There are surely enough people who find value from it to want to contribute to keep it running.

It's not only punters who use it but trainers also when it comes to planning races etc.

If anything it's worth trying to see how much interest you can drum up.

Sure there would be some who would like to help you show the middle finger to the operator by being able to show them that your product is lengths clear of anything they are able to offer?

Biting the hand that feeds you

I came to South Africa 1995 and started a tipping business. Over 20,000 people have contacted me, during this time, showing interest in our sport.

I update my FaceBook page with a free tip in the form of a fun cryptic clue. This reaches between 300 and 2000 people daily.
The Cryptic Clue goes some way to attracting new followers to horse racing.
I also have a private subscriber base.

Since the supply of data to Formgrids has been cut off, I have not posted any tips to FaceBook or sent out any selections. Formgrids is an invaluable complement to my in-depth form study.

Whoever is withholding the data feed to Formgrids is very short sighted. If Telly Track is responsible, then this action would appear to achieve the opposite effect of their mission statement.
To promote horse racing to the general public for the good of the sport.

The turnover which may be generated by my free tips, could easily be R50,000 a day which is R1.5 million a month . The TAB benefits by their 25% share of this sum and the bookmakers also contribute the betting tax.
When you compare the amount of lost betting revenue to the
the amount demanded for the data to be released to Formgrids -R11,400 (R380 per day)- it makes no sense at all.

Formgrids does not charge for access to his setup, his only revenue is from his advertisers. Likewise, I do not charge for my tips on FaceBook, which are making consistent level stake profits. We are both doing our best to maintain and build horse racing followers for the good of the industry.

In signing off, I would ask TellyTrack or whoever is responsible, to see the bigger picture. They are harming the industry, not only in South Africa, but world wide as Formgrids is appreciated and used outside of this country too.
John Sweet is the founder of Inform Racing and was a licensed UK bookmaker in 1970. Now resident in South Africa since 1995 he has written a number of booking on horse racing as well as publishing numerous training videos, many of which are available on YouTube.

Opportunity for somebody smart enough here...maybe Hollywood can come to the rescue and incorporate formgrids into their site with access for account holders only.

Who benefits by Formgrids being down ? one or two TT and Phumelela people and some of the clique, about 10 individuals,, yet who looses ? about 1200 racing punters including owners, breeders, trainers, jockeys and other users,, so why are Phumelelas "Mobsters" allowed to make self serving decisions above racings needs.

Instead of building on what we have created they openly try their utmost to destroy, overlooking whatever benifit it does for racing and the increase in turnover which benifits everyone, is destruction the way to build ?

Part funder of the clone doing his best to see us down, seems they have no shame in their actions, standard for racing is rape and plunder, its a free for all, anyway we are working to get back up at full speed, very unnecessary to keep having to go through this simply because a clique has racing captured
