I didn't watch the race but from the winning margin can deduce that the winning margin was impressive. I have to congratulate you on your bravery in posting what you did, and wish you and your partners well with this horse. I am however going to bite and lets take this from here:
So you rate this horse in the top 100 or top 4% by your example of horses of his age in South Africa? I would like to know how you come to this conclusion and coupled determine your value? The cold reality is that if this horse had run in either the FM62 (4TH on time ) or MR64 (7TH on time) on offer yesterday you wouldnt have troubled the winners of those races.
Genuine question

2500 horses born in SA every year
2300 rated under 70
100 rated under 70-80
truly wicked is a 85-95
driers not only has to beat us has to beat the mathematics

no ill bite
1: he was not extended yesterday at all and is still green and immature.
2: He has run 1400m (when pushed ) in 82:12
3: He works with Group horse
4: Yes he won in a slow time in a slow run race he still went away readily.
5: Mark never rides him the last 80m
6: 1600m -2000m you will see a better animal. (go, look at the canter down)
7: Everything he does he does effortlessly and he has a turn of foot which shows a certain amount of class.
8: last but not least ill put my on the block that barring any unforeseen circumstances he will be pretty highly rated officially.

He may also be better in grass? Although in my mind there is little difference between grass and poly.
Good luck and continued success. He looks decent
