Ajrar 4-1
3.45 Newmarket,
Saturday

Main Edition and La Pelosa boast the strongest pieces of form after finishing first and second in the Albany at Royal Ascot but both have disappointed since and with four starts each to their name, they may not be as open to as much improvement as Ajrar, who represents a yard that has won the last two runnings. Richard Hannon's filly improved on her second start when runner-up in a Sandown Listed contest last time (La Pelosa back in third) and she will be tough to beat if she takes another step forward.

Rapier 15-8
4.25 Chelmsford,
Saturday

Showed some promise in novice company and although he finished last of four on handicap debut, that was a pretty good race and he wasn't beaten far at all. Duly made amends last time at Doncaster when upped to 1m2f and there looked to be plenty of improvement to come. A 6lb higher mark shouldn't hold him back.

Making Light
2.25 Cork,
Saturday

The pick of her form is arguably over 7f, but this Moyglare homebred daughter of Tamayuz won a Group 3 on soft to heavy going over a mile in March and hasn't really had her conditions since. There's very little between the field on ratings and if the rain does take effect it will give her an edge on the rest of her rivals.
