R1 I think Jonno's horse can find a place at a massive price.

R2 Elathan my first pick, but needs a lot to go his way, one of which is a perfect ride. Good WR on board so for me is the e/w value. Smart Deal I think is best on this track and for me is the immediate danger. Strange jock arrangements on the Gray horses, the usually preferred Sitheto is on the outsider, thus the top two for me.

R3 I also think LS is vulnerable. Mdk horse if he saw ever gonna win in Gauteng I feel it will be this course. So for me is the e/w Value, but not really a race to get too involved with.

R4 ST the right one for me with Laila the immediate danger. Concern for ST is the nibbles on the sage horse who has a great line through Goedehoop.

R5 Ultra competitive race where a case can be made for many. Mdk horse again makes appeal, Muzi retains the ride and was a little unlucky last time out. 10/1 a fair e/w price on a mdk horse but as I said, cases can Ben made for many if not all the runners. Load up.

R6 Small but competitive. Puget Sound makes appeal, drop in trip always a slight concern though so DA could be the value.

R7 Two horses I fancy strongly RA as well as PP. if they get the pace wrong, PP will win in my opinion, despite possibly being better over further.

R8 Banker Gimmehopejohanna. Last win was ultra impressive and I think they may have gotten to the bottom of her. Raised 6 points but back against her own sex 16/10 a cracking price. Swingers with the Matchett horse.

R9 Ossetra my first pick however it is ultra competitive where all of Angelic Appeal and Beautiful Shay warrant inclusion.

Play well.

Very tough card today at Turffies.... some favorites are just too short and looks beatable....

Race 1
Farannga is hot pot fav but twice changed legs in last couple of runs .... i like Tidal Tussle to upset from a plum draw but concern about alarming drift in the betting
2 x 7

Race 2
Mantracker looks the horse on best form and deserve fav. Jockey bookings a concern but if you watch this jock's history you will see he is very capable. Kamakura and smart deal biggest threads.
2 x 3 x 1

Race 3
Lord silvirio is very classy and can be followed until getting beat . Topshot the danger.
3 x 1

Race 4
Nr 1 stormborn thunder hot fav but i like much better value in Lana Turner 7/1 . Think luchelle Kruger can crack the long drought without a winner today .lalia getting punted so needs to be included.
4 x 1 x 6

Race 5
Very very open but the one i like is Spring poetry and include pretty ballarina
1 x 5 (but jackpot and pick 6 load up)

Race 6
I like Shogun alot and main dangers Silver peg and D'arrivee .
4 x 5 x 6

Race 7
Rough allure my value bet in open race with tammany hall and saragon main dangers
1 x 3 x 2

Race 8
Gimme hope johanna hot fav but i the Kirkconnel lass can beat her and good value
1 x 5

Race 9
Written is great odds and can win . Biggest dangers goede hoop and ossetra
1 x 3 x 2

Cold and miserable out - need a few winners to warm up .... thoughts:

R2: Mantracker the obvious one, but the 3 others on the betting can't be ignored - jockeyship will be a big factor over the trip

R3: I think we could be Tarry'ed here; Bold Viking with the claim well in and Top Shop has 5 wins at this track, so worth considering as well

R4: Originally I fancied Stormbourne Thunder, but the money for Lalia makes her a danger .... these two stand out imo

R5: Competitive, I think Il Mondo at the weights could provide the upset, but not too many without a chance

R6: Pace to be the decider - only Storm Warning without a chance

R7: Competitive again; Tamanny Hall a winner this track and trip and looks very well in; good value imo with Rouge Allure

R8: I agree Gimme Hope Johanna a likely banker on a tricky card

R9: Ossetra worthy favorite and should give you a run for your money; however many looking to upset including Monarch Air and Aldebaran

Enjoy B)
