Big run after 2 years off track including an injury.
He wasn't that far off horses like Singapore Sling in SA and his barriers when he first went to HK were similar to SS . His rating is looking generous at the moment

Great run SS..especially as had to adjust in the run in and was flying at finish .
Nassa just had to race too far back but not bad coming back from a tendon.

HAPPY VALLEY SELECTIONS (Wednesday October 24, 2018):
October 23, 2018
RACE 1: #2 Never Better, #7 Vara Pearl, #6 Travel Ambassador, #5 Triumphant Light
RACE 2: #1 Giant Turtle, #5 Sangria, #7 Cloud Nine, #2 Rickfield
RACE 3: #4 Heroic Guru, #1 Impeccable Fellow, #8 Little Island, #3 Electric Lightning
RACE 4: #2 Raichu, #5 Starlot, #12 Trendiful, #11 Paddington
RACE 5: #4 Gentle Breeze, #1 Noble Delight, #9 Lucky Lucky, #2 Beaut Beaut
RACE 6: #8 Picken, #6 Blitzing, #2 Roman Odyssey, #3 Super Eighteen
RACE 7: #12 Powermax, #11 Star Of Joy, #4 California Archer, #1 Perfect Glory
RACE 8: #4 Jade Theatre, #2 Jumbo Happiness, #1 Harrier Jet, #9 Midnight Rattler
RACE 1: STARLIT KNIGHT HANDICAP
#2 Never Better gets down to Class 5 for the first time. He’s consistent enough and really should be winning in this grade, so he’s worth a play from an ideal gate. #7 Vara Pearl steps out for his former trainer Tony Millard for the first time since returning to his yard. He’s also first-up since June, but he looks to be cranked up for this assignment. #6 Travel Ambassador makes his debut for trainer Richard Gibson, with his new handler removing all gear and basically starting from scratch. He can show up here. #5 Triumphant Light can head forward and stick on.
RACE 2: HAPPILABABY HANDICAP
#1 Giant Turtle faded fresh after looking the winner upon straightening. He should appreciate getting up to this distance, as well as getting the seven-pound claim of Victor Wong to take his weight down to 126 pounds. He’s a major player. #5 Sangria may just find this trip a tad too far, as he did in June when third behind Super Chic. However, if he gets the right run, he can be right in the finish. #7 Cloud Nine is as one-paced as they come but these are the sorts of races in which he is dangerous. #2 Rickfield is next best.
RACE 3: FLYING ELITE HANDICAP
#4 Heroic Guru gets blinkers for the first time – quite surprising, given his penchant for running all over the place in the straight. He maps nicely here and he can win again at his current rating. #1 Impeccable Fellow won strongly three weeks ago over this course and distance. He should get a similar run here and that puts him right in the mix here. #8 Little Island is sure to have his supporters with Zac Purton jumping aboard again. He deserves respect. #3 Electric Lightning is racing his way back into form and he’s approaching a third career victory.
RACE 4: LYRIC ACE HANDICAP
#2 Raichu drops in grade with Zac Purton, who has a one-for-one record on the galloper, jumping on his back once again. The kinder draw should afford him every possibility, too, with the ability to rail through crucial on the C+3 course. #5 Starlot mixes his form but he is more than capable on his day. #12 Trendiful was sent out an even-money favourite fresh, at what was his first run for Jimmy Ting. He couldn’t match Multimax but it was a good enough effort that bodes well for his start here. #11 Paddington can place once again.
RACE 5: THE LONGINES CUP
#4 Gentle Breeze disappointed at Sha Tin when stepped up to 1200m last time out. He drops back to 1000m, which may prove more suitable at this point in his career, and he is drawn to enjoy another ideal run. Don’t write him off in this spot. #1 Noble Delight came to hand quickly at the end of last season, winning twice in a row over 1200m. He is unlikely to get as easy a lead here as he did on those occasions, but given he still looks to have points in hand, he can’t be excluded. #9 Lucky Lucky has been slightly disappointing but should be able to pick up a win sometime this season. #2 Beaut Beaut is not without a hope.
RACE 6: WINDICATOR HANDICAP
#8 Picken clearly has talent but he looked very raw and green in two runs at the end of last season. The trip to Happy Valley should toughen him up and, with natural improvement to be expected, he’s in the mix. #6 Blitzing had shown ability in his first few starts and he still looks far from the complete package. His last-start win was a bonus and he can progress from there. #2 Roman Odyssey ran well fresh and can build on that effort here. #3 Super Eighteen should enjoy a lovely run on or near the speed. He’s not without claims.
RACE 7: PERFECT GEAR HANDICAP
#12 Powermax began his career by not missing the first four at his first 12 starts. However, over the last 12 months, he has really lost his way, although he showed with a narrow defeat fresh that he’s back on track again. It won’t take much for him to be able to win here. #11 Star Of Joy is another who is racing well. Even luck will see him right in the finish. #4 California Archer can’t cop a break when it comes to barrier draws. With a better gate, he’d be hard to beat. He’s still a place chance here, though. #1 Perfect Glory did something that few horses can ever do, by winning his first Hong Kong start over this course and distance two weeks back. He could bob up again.
RACE 8: PERFECT GEAR HANDICAP
In a race where most of the favourites have drawn wide, #4 Jade Theatre stands out as one with a perfect draw. If Zac Purton can capitalise on the inside gate, then he should be mighty hard to overcome in this spot. #2 Jumbo Happiness gets the seven-pound claim of Victor Wong, which gets him to a nice spot in the ratings. He can’t be dismissed. #1 Harrier Jet may need to shed a few more points to score again but he’s always a place hope in this spot. #9 Midnight Rattler is at an attractive rating and is one to include in all exotics

HAPPY VALLEY SELECTIONS
(Sunday October 28, 2018)
RACE 1: #10 Clement Legend, #7 Rock The Tree, #6 The Joy Of Giving, #4 Amazing Gold
RACE 2: #4 Universal Go Go, #3 Ishvara, #1 Ten Flames, #6 Marvel Joy
RACE 3: #12 Diamond Legend, #7 Victorious Leader, #10 Good Choice Ahead, #8 Oscar Magic
RACE 4: #11 Chaparral Star, #5 You Have My Word, #7 True Grit, #2 Enjoy Life
RACE 5: #5 Winning Supreme, #7 Khaki, #3 Lamarosa, #11 Travel Successor
RACE 6: #4 Starlight, #2 Sun Touch, #8 Iron Boy, #6 All Best Friends
RACE 7: #2 Super Turbo, #5 Turin Redstar, #6 Circuit Glory, #7 Kingsfield
RACE 8: #6 Money Boy, #3 E-Super, #7 Cerefino, #2 Storm Signal
RACE 9: #10 Ultimate Glory, #12 Gold Land, #8 Lucky Time, #2 Thunder Stomp
RACE 10: #4 Mr Genuine, #3 Gunnison, #6 Super Hoppy, #7 Keep Moving
RACE 1: YAU KOM TAU HANDICAP
#10 Clement Legend ran on strongly last start over 1800m. He ran fairly over this course and distance in June, finishing fourth to Penzance, and he now looks at a mark where he can break through.
#7 Rock The Tree was third in that Penzance race, more than three lengths ahead of Clement Legend. He hasn’t shown anything in two starts this season but third-up he’s capable of improvement.
#6 The Joy Of Giving has filled the runner-up position at two of his three starts
this season. He’s going to win soon and it could very well be here.
#4 Amazing Gold is next best.
RACE 2: TSING YI HANDICAP
#4 Universal Go Go has run well at each of his three starts this season, winning over 1200m at his fresh run last month, then finishing fourth at the same course and distance before a good third when upped to 1650m last time out. He should get a perfect run just behind the speed and he will be hard to beat here.
#3 Ishvara showed last start that he was capable of winning off his current
mark with a tough third. He deserves respect.
#1 Ten Flames has disappointed this season with the return to Class 4, but he can show up at any time and he must be included.
#6 Marvel Joy is not without a hope.
RACE 3: TSING LUNG TAU HANDICAP
#12 Diamond Legend steps out for Tony Cruz for the first time. He was an impressive winner first-up last season off a higher mark and he’s capable of doing something similar here.
#7 Victorious Leader ran well enough at his first start, although he didn’t run up to market expectations. He has trialled well for this and he should be right in contention here.
#10 Good Choice Ahead needs further but it wouldn’t surprise to see him finishing off strongly fresh.
#8 Oscar Magic hasn’t done a lot in two starts but the step up to 1200m suits him.
RACE 4: TSING YI HANDICAP
#11 Chaparral Star has been a different horse since getting up in trip. He looks certain to win again up in Class 4 at some point and this looks a winnable race for him.
#5 You Have My Word is likely to find this on the sharp side but he’s capable of running a good race fresh here.
#7 True Grit improved tremendously last start. He has an awkward draw but he appears a typical John
Size natural improver and he should have every chance to improve on his three starts to date.
#2 Enjoy Life may need ratings relief now but he can’t be overlooked with the blinkers going on for the first time.
RACE 5: TSING LUNG TAU HANDICAP
#5 Winning Supreme is a likeable horse in that he gets out in front and makes his own luck. The return to 1200m is a big plus and, in a race that doesn’t look to have an abundance of speed, he can hold his rivals at bay.
#7 Khaki dislodged the rider at his first run for Tony Millard, meaning that his last-start effort was the first time he had completed the course for his new trainer. That
effort was good and points to him being able to pick up a win shortly.
#3 Lamarosa hasn’t reached the heights he looked set to achieve early in his career. Still, he appears to be at a mark
where he can win once again.
#11 Travel Successor mixes his form but he’s a live place chance.
RACE 6: SHAM TSENG HANDICAP
#4 Starlight has not had the best of luck since he put together a number of wins to get his rating up into Class 2 territory. He should get every favour here and that gives him his chance to pick up his sixth win.
#2 Sun Touch ran well at his only start at Happy Valley, a second to Har Har
Heart last December. The 1200m is a query – he may find it too sharp these days around Happy Valley – but if he can land in a good position he will have every chance.
#8 Iron Boy is racing well enough to figure here from the good draw.
#6 All Best Friends is a place chance.
RACE 7: KAP SHUI MUN HANDICAP
#2 Super Turbo has always shaped as a horse who would relish the extended mile here at Happy Valley, but he has only had the chance once when third to Winner’s Way and Jolly Banner – a strong form race indeed. Now, he gets back up to the trip again and it won’t take much for him to
figure.
#5 Turin Redstar is always a contender in these sorts of races. He bears close watching here.
#6 Circuit Glory finally broke through for a win last time out. His temperament is going to hinder his progression up the ratings ladder, but he’s clearly got the ability to win off this mark on his day.
#7 Kingsfield should enjoy every chance from the good draw.
RACE 8: MA WAN HANDICAP
#6 Money Boy is a warhorse who looks set to continue where he left off last season, racing every couple of weeks and usually running his tough, honest race. He should get the run of the race behind the speed and, if the gaps appear for him, he will be flashing home.
#3 E-Super should be able to lead this field and he should be in front for a long way – including somewhere near the post.
#7 Cerefino won’t be far away and his last-start win in June suggested he had more to come this term.
#2 Storm Signal finally broke through last start. He will probably have to push forward again and sit outside E-Super but perhaps the penny might have dropped.
RACE 9: TING KAU HANDICAP
#10 Ultimate Glory has produced some great runs over the Happy Valley 1650m but he only gets one chance a year to race at the city track these days due to a ban on him racing under lights. He did everything you’d want first-up if this was the target and he’s a major player in this spot.
#12 Gold Land should enjoy getting back to Happy Valley and he will get a soft run from gate three. He’s a contender.
#8 Lucky Time gets the seven-pound claim of Victor Wong and that could prove crucial if he is to perform again.
#2 Thunder Stomp should also be able to race handy. He can stick on.
RACE 10: CHAI WAN KOK HANDICAP
#4 Mr Genuine returns to his favourite course and distance fresh. He finished second in this race last year to subsequent Kranji Mile winner Southern Legend off the same mark, although he was also more forward in his preparation. He has an awkward draw to overcome but, if he gets the breaks, he should be hard to beat in this spot.
#3 Gunnison keeps punching through and
performing well without winning. He is getting up in the weights now, which isn’t ideal for such a small, nuggety type. Nevertheless, his consistency ensures that he must be respected.
#6 Super Hoppy has won his last three starts since transferring to Danny Shum’s yard. He has his worst draw yet, but the five-pound claim of Dylan Mo keeps his weight down and he’s sure to have
plenty of admirers.
#7 Keep Moving failed at his only attempt at 1200m, but it appears the ideal time to step him up in trip again.

RACE 4:
#11 Savvy Seven, #10 Righteous Mate, #7 Absolucool, #6 Red Horse
RACE 5:
#1 Energetic Class, #5 Follow Me, #6 Brave Baby, #10 Romantic Chef
RACE 6:
#1 Mr Lumieres, #4 Hinchinlove, #10 Styling City, #2 Patch Baby
RACE 7:
#8 Glorious Forever, #1 Pakistan Star, #4 Gold Mount, #2 Exultant
RACE 8:
#8 Sleep Education, #2 Cheerful Giggles, #1 Helene Charisma, #3 Famous Warrior
RACE 9:
#9 Mighty Maverick, #2 Mr So And So, #4 Sacred Ibis, #13 Relentless Me
RACE 10:
#9 Harmony Hero, #2 Coby Boy, #10 Superich, #11 Green Energy
RACE 1: L'OREAL PARIS HANDICAP
#6 Hainan Star ran well enough on debut when second to Strathallan, who he meets again here. However, it was a recent trial that caught the eye, where he looks to have taken plenty of improvement from that first run. If so, he’ll be hard to beat here.
#7 Perfect Match ran well
enough for third in that same race. He’s right in contention here off that formline and with natural progression.
#8 Quadruple Double disappointed in that race but should be suited by the step up to 1200m now, particularly with Victor Wong utilising his seven-pound claim.
#9 Wah May Princess – who, despite the name, is a gelding – can bob up on debut.
RACE 2: KATE TOKYO HANDICAP
#4 Lightning Steed has disappointed at 1200m at his last two runs and should be suited getting back to 1000m, particularly with the wide draw. Expect significant improvement here.
#1 Super Model ran well on debut, although he failed to live up to market expectations that day. At his next start, he weakened out badly. Both times, he had breathing issues. Those are unlikely to be any better here but he has talent so he is a danger if he can breathe properly.
#5 Diamond Master steps out for trainer Jimmy Ting for the first time. He is not the most straightforward customer and he has drawn awkwardly but if he can end up somewhere near the speed, he’s not without a hope.
#10 Multimillion looks best of the debutants.
RACE 3: KOSE COSMEPORT HANDICAP
#14 Fair Comment will never live up to the exploits of his sire So You Think or his dam Dariana, former stablemates who finished first and second respectively in the G1 Underwood Stakes (1800m) at Caulfield in 2010. Still, he’s at a mark where he appears capable of breaking through, especially now that he’s getting up in trip. He bears close watching.
#1 Chiu Chow Kid is racing well and it won’t take much for him to break through. He is a leading contender.
#2 Indigenous Star gets down into Class 5 and deserves plenty of respect.
#5 Triumphant Light can’t be overlooked.
RACE 4: MARIA GALLAND HANDICAP
#11 Savvy Seven has shown big improvement at every start, although it was probably the step up in trip last start more than anything that helped him to jump out of the ground. The further step up to a mile now looks ideal and this looks a winnable race.
#10 Righteous Mate has taken a long
time to find his feet but his last-start effort behind Pakistan Friend suggests he’s finally ready to make his mark in Hong Kong. Expect another strong performance. #7 Absolucool ran well for second last time out behind Happy Sebring. He has another awkward draw but he bears close watching.
#6 Red Horse can get into the placings.
RACE 5: SUISSE PROGRAMME HANDICAP
#1 Energetic Class had absolutely no luck at his first run back from a spell in mid-October. If he can get a clear run here against this sort of competition, there’s no reason he can’t figure in the finish.
#5 Follow Me looks to be a typical John Size slow developer. He improved from his first to his second start and he’s sure to do the same again.
#6 Brave Baby has trialled well enough to
suggest that he can find form before too long.
#10 Romantic Chef was terrible last time out but should relish 1400m and the removal of blinkers. He can jump out of the ground.
RACE 6: REVLON HANDICAP
#1 Mr Lumieres had a number of things against him at Happy Valley first-up and should be suited getting back to the Sha Tin 1000m. The extended band Class 3 conditions suit him, too, so he looks hard to beat here.
#4 Hinchinlove ran very well on debut. The former Australian galloper looks to have come to hand quickly and he only needs to hold that form to be competitive here.
#10 Styling City has a good draw over this course and distance and could naturally be expected to improve significantly, particularly with blinkers reapplied.
Don’t discount #2 Patch Baby back in trip.
RACE 7: G3 SA SA LADIES' PURSE
#8 Glorious Forever makes his first attempt at Group company after impressing with his progression through the grades. He’s won his last three starts very handily and looks a horse with
the potential to make it to the very top. He may face pressure from his year-older brother Time Warp on the lead, but Glorious Forever does look to have a higher cruising speed and he has also shown the tractability to sit off the leader should Time Warp want to take up the running. With
only 113 pounds to carry, he’s going to be very hard to beat.
#1 Pakistan Star shoulders topweight but deservedly so, too. He returns to 1800m for the first time since the infamous
“Pakistan Stop” debacle, where he brought himself to a halt after 200 metres. Still, those issues look to be in the past and he can capitalise if the speed is too hot.
#4 Gold Mount steps out for Richard Gibson for the first time. If his new trainer can find an extra length or two, then the fiveyear-old can go to a new level this season.
#2 Exultant ran well first-up and is not without a hope
here.
RACE 8: AHAVA HANDICAP
#8 Sleep Education is still yet to get that elusive Hong Kong victory, but the South African import is edging ever closer to breaking through. He should be suited stepping up to 1800m, the trip that brought out the best in his half-brother Horse Of Fortune, and perhaps Sha Tin might be
the best move at this stage too.
#2 Cheerful Giggles has run well at two starts back from a spell for his new trainer Tony Millard. A bigger field here should suit and he can’t be overlooked.
#1 Helene Charisma is down in class and is capable of improvement at any time.
#3 Famous Warrior was just nosed out fresh before a disappointing effort after a wide run last time out. He’ll be in the mix.
RACE 9: CANMAKE TOKYO HANDICAP
#9 Mighty Maverick has improved at every start for Caspar Fownes since joining the trainer in July. Now, all the cards look to have fallen into place with the booking of Zac Purton, a good draw and, on paper, a winnable race. He should race handy and will be tough to run down.
#2 Mr So And So looks suited back in grade but he has to contend with the outside draw. Still, he should be performing well here and it won’t be long before he breaks through.
#4 Sacred Ibis showed a deft turn of foot at a number of his starts last season. He’s a chance fresh under Douglas Whyte.
#13 Relentless Me should enjoy every chance from gate four.
RACE 10: ELEANOR HANDICAP
#9 Harmony Hero didn’t have the best of luck first-up but he was still disappointing to some extent. He gets blinkers on now and, if he can extract himself from the ruck from gate one, he can win this. He needs to, though, if he is to emerge as a Hong Kong Classic Mile contender.
#2 Coby Boy’s hallmark has been his honesty. He’s sure to be around the mark again.
#10 Superich has won well in Class 3 at his last two starts. He’s sure to be short again, but deservedly so.
#11 Green Energy won nicely in early October. He looks to strike a similar race here.
