Race 1 - Boscastle - This horse seems to have been targeted for this race - I see that the money is down already - Offers up tremendous place value at current prices - Wide draw will not be a problem for this one.

Can't have much confidence after Saturday, but here goes:
R2: Josie de Nero has run in some strong fields and is the one to beat on that form; Sun Up disappointed last time, but is worth another chance and as such is the biggest danger to JdN; See Me Run fair form and has pole position so place credentials along with the Woodrough first-timer
R3: One of these is going to pick up the winner's cheque - and should then be retired or sent to Flamingo  Voodoo and Elathan have run some fair races, but also put up some dismal performances, so who knows
R4: Open-looking fillies & mares handicap; Pearl of Bahrain has come down in the ratings and put up a fair effort last time, but the 2000 may be stretching her; same goes for Ossetra; Angelic Appeal look well in with the 1.5 kg allowance and has won over this track and trip, so is my first choice from Animal Lover, who has some fair earlier form and may improve with blinkers; it does not stop there though - Serendipity and Exclusivity would be next best imo
R5: Does look a 2 horse contest, and my first choice would be the 3yr old Crimson Royale, as Insignia comes off a break, so might just be outrun the last bit - but there should not be much between them; Fariha and Full Frolic imo has to show more and the rest seem outclassed
R6: Alyaasaat really looks hard to beat on his class and would need to be really ring-rusty to lose here; the others are much of a muchness imo - Senor Lizard has been gelded, but has pole position and with the filly On the Double would be my choices to fight out the places with Roll of Drums, Iditarod Trail and Electromagenetic
R7: Open handicap - all of them capable of winning this imo - William Nicol is at best over this track and trip and for me represents the value form pole position
R8: Interesting race; Mighty High imo has better form than Shufoog, but the track may be MH's undoing as she has come from way back on both her wins; most of the others (bar Good Emperor and Varzen) can upset should MH get going too late; Victor Forth on his debut behind Soqrat not to be ignored, while both Green Haze and Royal Italian look to have potential, while Big Mistake had some very good Cape form and probably needed his last start
R9: Open handicap to close; Quattro in form and should go close from a nice draw, but their are quite a few others in the race with chances - in no particular order all of Shifting Shadows, Boatswain, Blue Diamond Road, Well Connected and Master Boulder need inclusion to feel relative safe should one be so lucky to reach the last leg of the P6 - which could still pay handsomely even if Alyaasaat delivers the goods
Enjoy

I was considering a bet on this one but just because I like the name... Any reasoning from your side?
Thanks - I'll go with my gut and nibble an e/w bet... Can't get hurt
My thoughts for the rest of the card (looking for small value eachways) :
R1 - Perfact - watched this ones last run, was flying at them in the last 200m. A repeat of that run and sure to earn a cheque.
R2 -See Me Run - face the pace convinced me to have a bet
R3 - Voodoo - 6/10 places looks way better than 1/10 wins on smart deal
R4 - pearl of baharin win, animal lover place
R5 - Fariha - don't think we've seen the best of this filly yet. Looking at the replay of her win in June... Suggested this 1800m will be an ideal trip. My best bet on the card with respect for the top two in the betting.
R6 - Alyaasaat was very impressive last time and could well go in again but that price is way too short for a straight bet. I'm rowing in with Iditarod Trail e/w.
R7 - Copper Jay - I just can't see him miss the first three. PA banker
R8 - Victor Forth - Although this will be a test for him, I think he is much better over this shorter distance. The last time he went over 1450m and seemed to be run out of it late.
R9 - Any of Boatswain, Well Connected or Quattro can close the day. Boxed swingers & exactas for me.
Have fun guysgood luck to all
Lovely find 20 to 1 and a good price. (Apologies)
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
