Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Another meet predicted to be curtailed by thunder and lightning .... so far so good though ... I think they will run at least the first 3 ..... and try very hard to get to the 5th ..... let's see
R1: Forest Express 'for the wages'
R2: Chariot of Gold set to improve on her last run .... 4 lengths behind Oh Susanna at level weights ... so hard to beat imo; Gottalotaluv and the improving Fariha to fight out 2nd and 3rd
R3: Takingthepeace should win this if not going backwards in her 2nd run after a break; Deo Juvente should be right there; Fort Ember dangerous at best; on form these stand out for me, but it is a prep for many for the Summer Cup, so not cut and dried depending on who wants to win
R4: If we get here, it is likely that after the race many will be licking their wounds; many possibilities and luck in running to play a big part; over 1450 at this track, about 90% of races are won by horses drawn in the first 8 ..... so taking that into account, my shortlist would be Lake Kinneret, Soldier On, Rings and Things, Sail for Joy (Munger preferring this one to RaT ?) and the well weighted (and drawn in pole position) Bold Coast; Divine Odyssey drawn well, but seems held by quite a few at the weights; Purple Diamond could recapture best form with the aid of blinkers and a tongue-tie; Chepardo, Count Tassilo and Dan the Lad drawn in the bush, but all capable of challenging for first place
R5: Mardi Gras comes into draw 10, still no ideal, but he could well be one of the 'other 10%' of winners from that draw; however, I think Tsitsikama Dance has some class and has the benefit of a good draw, so I think both TD and Zoaves can finish in front of MG; these 3 stand out a bit imo, next best would be Full of Attitude (pole position) and Bold Viking (better further? ); if there is to be an upset, it could come from any of African Ruler, Daffiq or Danza, who are all capable of placing imo
R6: In the lap of the gods of thunder whether we get here; not the easiest handicap imo; obviously Big Mistake has good form, but for there is just slight doubt about the distance; Catkin a big danger from pole position (and the wetter the better for him) ;Flying Winger also should be right there; best outsider imo Jubilee Line, who has not stamina doubts, is a winner at this track and also jumps from a good draw - he is unproven on a wet track though ; Whosethebossnow has the benifit of a good draw, so not without a chance either; the we have the fillies, who all are in receipt of their 2.5 kg sex allowance; all are capable of challenging, but the best of these for me is Gimme Hope Johanna
R7: Warriors Best get 4.5 kgs from Captain and Master, so WB is my first choice from C&M; only possible danger imo Roll of Drums, who did run only 4 lengths behind Alyaasaat at level weights and could make the other two run
R8: If it somehow stays dry, I think Pool Party will be hard to beat; drawn in pole; Gavin rides, has won here and should be cherry ripe; she has run 3rd in the soft, but it is slightly worrying that her worst run was in soft conditions. Chitengo looks above average, but the draw could be a problem; next best imo Perfect Tigress, Mar del Sur and Visuality, who has dropped another few points in the ratings and gets an allowance as well
R9: If we get here, I think one needs quite a few in the last leg of the P6; one that I am definitely including is Wonderous Climber, who is now down 24 points from his highest rating, and gets another 1.5 kgs off courtesy of the apprentice ....
Enough is enough .....
Enjoy
