There has been a thread, but surely we are worse than the world when it comes to re-shoeing. They amble down to the start at snails' pace, and then the inevitable delay. Frustrating!!! Surely this doesn't bode well with our international patrons' schedules?

Trainers also have to eat.
Good gamble by the Hill stable there.
Give your horse two easy barrier trials and make sure you enter her when you also enter your other horse that is even money and put Marcus up so you can get a good price on the horse you gonna bet.
Worked out beautifully for them.
They backed it from 30 to 28 to 22 to 18-1.
It then drifted back to 22-1 and they took it again.
The way it won and the way it was backed they knew which was the better horse.

Watch support for Kotzen runner
No support for the Kotzen runner but still won well.
All the money for the Crawford stable but as you said worth risking.
I don't really like that stable down here in KZN with their runners coming back from a break as I don't think the assistant trainer here can get them as fit first time from a break the same as Crawford himself does.

For Lucara and L Histoire to have the highest MR you kinda know its a moderate field so maybe they won on default
I seldom go for the Crawford runners in either province, each to his own though
