Re: Vaal Thursday
6 years 7 months agoThe thing is Hartleyfour looked like it was travelling better than Golden Lion just before the interference but it definitely impeded Golden Lion.Frodo wrote: Surely an objection
The stipes job now is to try and figure out if Golden Lion would definitely have beaten Hartleyfour if not for interference.
In USA the objection would have been upheld already yet in the UK it probably would have been overruled.
Let's see what happens in SA.

Hi Frodo.....he was slowest away   but in the end, ran on some - finished 6- 7 L behind i think....so not too unhappy, a fair run considering.
7.7 L behind..to be exact.
......not very educational not the right assistance from the saddle... jock asleep in the stalls then tried his best not to show too much and fought not to let him stride.....someone had a very large tote bet as your tote odds were half the bookie price horse was in single figures 20min before the start.....imo the human element in this game stints any possible potential....hope that he finds a jock with soft hands and gives him his head on the next run.....

R5: I think Torio Lake has a lot going for him here and is a deserving favorite
Jockey could have put a bit more effort there.

......horse needs no more than 1200m and a set of scoops.....also needs soft hands....and not any sort of vigorous urging from the pilot....
