Race 4 - Santa Clara 2/1(Taken much earlier in the week)
Thought it was a blinder of a run from this filly behind Clouds Unfold. Wide draw and she ran on gamely to finish third. I think she should win this based on the weights - Coral Bay is a top, top filly in her own right but based on the weights, I think Santa Clara should just manage to get first run and win this but I just might take the exacta boxed as a cover.
Race 5 - Kasimir 9/2, Van Halen 7/1
Kasimir ran a blinder behind One World and even though I'm a big Dutch Phillip fan, I have to go for this guy based on the weight. Van Halen is a smart 3yo and his win in the Highveld LTO was very smooth. Who knows how good he is? We'll see today.
Race 6 - Cirillo 9/2
He's a top performer and on all exposed form, is the best horse in the race. Superman is on top so I have no worries about the draw. Repeat that last run behind TOF and he should win.
Majestic Mozart is the danger IMO. This horse screams derby candidate thus far. Watch for him flying late on.
Race 7 - Twist of Fate 13/2
Have a small bet on One World antepost but I thought TOF wasn't running here. I just can't back One World at 8/10 while Twist of Fate is in the race. So impressed with his Cape Classic win from that draw. He's getting better and better. Small question marks about the trip but I think he should just about get it. and don't discount Chimichuri Run either! - things didn't go his way in the Graham Beck. Cracker of a race.

Should not affect race but card change-- blinkers off Brutal Force.
Terrible form but if well , sound and puts it in is a threat. Course record holder and highest MR 118 .
Just saying so in hindsight
if a shock ...
