Does not look easy - draw may be a factor for the sprints down the straight ....

R2: The Dazzler the obvious one, but odds-on seems a bit short - Diamond Dancer to make him run

R3: Scent of Evening shortened in the betting - Comet Crystal should prefer this shorter trip and rates a good chance in a weakish looking field - inside draw along with Royal Future who ran on nicely last time

R4: Should lie between Vistula (inside draw) and Pigeon Post - one of the easier races on the card ?

R5: Upskilled another with an inside draw that seems hard to beat; first timer Towards the Sun found some support in the market, along with Atrevete (stable and jock combo landed a coup recently) so neither to be ignored

R6: Real competitive; Battle Creek coming down a lot in the ratings, so should feature; others on my shortlist would be the in-form Quattro (allies in front only ?), Seventh Rule - may prefer 1200 ?), All Night Flight (tries blinkers today) - but a case could be made for many

R7: Not a lot between Ilha Da Var (inside draw) and Claremorris (outside draw) ; Fly North may find the 1000 on the short side; too roughies to consider imo (both should prefer the shorter trip) are Fararanga and Practical Cat

R8: Another difficult race to predict; Mount Keith (inside draw) is a winner over this track and trip and should go very close with the allowance; Inexhaustible comes out of strong form lines so needs consideration as well; but again there are not too many here without a chance

R9: Smaller field, but again not easy; Greenwood Drive on the up, but tough task imo with 61; watch the betting after they have gone down - any support for Yamoto could prove significant

Enjoy B)

Not that it was a major upset as on weights Come The Day and The Dazzler should have finished right along each other but in his interview Munger stated that the smaller the field the bigger the upset.
I would say it's all down to the pace of the race and who sets the pace?
Yes the jockeys set the pace so he's pretty much telling us it's down to there riding that sometimes cause the upsets in small fields.
