Interesting days racing - Maidens, Handicaps, Middle Stakes, Assessment Plate - everything but a Feature ; thoughts ....
R1: I took 5/1 about Hartleyfour - jockey change a slight concern, but good value imo considering he is a winner (lost on objection last time) against maidens
R2: Bold Coast surely has a lot going for him and should finish in the first two; danger could be Camel Walk - MR drop and has Khumalo from a good draw
R3: Gold Lightning first choice; Armstrong needs to overcome the draw but looks the main danger; The Makwakkers to complete the first 3 past the post
R4: Perfect Tigress another Lerena ride with a big chance; main danger Viva Pa Pa, and watch out for La Linea - big drop in MR means there is a huge weight swing with PT on their meeting in October - and she could be looking for the shorter trip
R5: I fancy Miss Pinkerton - good last run when reverting to sprinting; Ninjara probably needed her last start and rates a danger with the 4kg allowance; Regal Graduation obvious chance as well
R6: Middle Stakes where I think Parisienne Chic is big value at 8's; good run on Monday and overdue for next win; Arte the main danger imo, but imo this is the bottom of her range; Wonderous Climber obviously improving but more to here imo and Tendre could run him out of the trifecta
R7: Should lie between the 3 yr olds - both Atyaab and Samurai Warrior try the trip, so who knows if they will stay; Popsicle Toes at least has won over 1800 - slight worrying is that Shanghai Pierce beat SW in the maidens, but surely SW has improved since that run
R8: Toughest race on the card imo; Defy Gravity with the claim looks well handicapped, but not too many without chances
R9: Big value imo about Dunas Dourados - last runn too far and beat Fly Thought (winner next time) convincingly on the maidens over this distance (Kapama also won next time out after being well beaten in that race); Samarra and Ossetra the obvious two for playing it safe, while Mattina rates a chance at the weights if she stays the trip
Enjoy

Oh well ... a case where the jockey replacement was a big factor - never in the race after a very slow start
