Your guess as good as anyone's ... since they have reverted to racing on the whole track (no Inside and Outside anymore), the best going (imo) have been all over the place - now with the wet conditions, I think it might pay to check out the first couple of races

Obviously one can't be confident with the state of the going .... some thoughts ....
In the 2nd, Florence ran well at Scotsville in the wet, so worth considering at a big price
In the 3rd, both Captain of Tortuga and Old Man Tyme love the wet stuff, so I'll be including them in everything
Mardi Gras probably closest thing to a banker imo; I also fancy Aurelia Cotta in the 5th - with Jenny Mcgee from an unfashionable stable worth inclusion
The 6th is tough imo - any (bar perhaps Jackman) can pop up - Bien Venue has gone off the boil recently, but of he can reproduce his runs earlier behind Soqrat, he will be hard to beat
Quebec Queen looks very well handicapped in the open 7th; Vrirginia, Written and My Dream Chaser the most probable dangers imo
The 8th also not easy, as none of the fancied runners have form in soft conditions; Oh So Cold with the allowance worthy of consideration at long odds
Enjoy the last day of the year - tomorrow we start again

Doubt it was the rain.
Tarry just had his horse in better nick.
How many doubles and trebles in the bin?
