Anyone else notice Yeni looking around when in the front on Johnathan in the last? He was looking the wrong way and never saw the horse coming on the inside. Terrible ride and I hope it gets checked by the stipes. Yes I did have a bet.....but if I didn't I would still post here.....I think he got it totally wrong. Just bladdy ride to the line at do what you are paid to do!

Here are my opinion on the three winners that you are questioning:

Race 1: Dakota Midnight - I have no explination other than it was the horses 4th run and is still learning how to race.

Race 6: Ataturk - Tried the 1600m for the first time, if you go and have a look at his previous runs over further at Flamingo Park, he led and then faded. This time Muzi tucked him in behind one horse and gave him a breather before turning into the home straight. The drop in division from his previous races also helped him as well as the bottom weight. 11/1 was his final odds, not so much an outsider in this field ey.... also the first time he cracked a draw 1 which helped him not to rush over from a deep draw to get a decent position.

Race 8: Emperors Tractor - The obvious reason if you go and study form is the drop in class and the drop in his merit rating. He won 5 starts ago. Since that win the next four races he raced in was, Pinnacle Plate, Flamingo Park Sprint, Pinnacle Plate and Flamingo Park 1400m. The drop in class also helped him to get to the front easier, where he loves to be placed, because he ran against weaker opposition this time and thus allows him to get to the front easier.

I hope this helps you a little bit to understand why these three horses won yesterday.

Thanks for your response Beast.
You look at it that way and yes it does seem the two horses did have some sort of chance.
Just out of curiosity, did you find these formlines during racing yesterday or did you have to go and look at the race card after I put up my message and try and find out how those horses won?
Cause it really does seem as SA punters aren't that clever as it was yet another pick 6 carryover in Flamingo yesterday.

For Dakota Midnight and Ataturk I went back and had a look at the formline, for Emperors Tractor I knew he dropped in divisions, I only went back and made sure about the certain races that he participated in. I know Corrie Lensley has always rated Emperors Tractor, he is a six time winner after all now.

Because of soundness issues and in and out runs, you can go back ten races in a horse's form at Flamingo Park and give all the horses some sort of chance on their best runs.
You just never know which horse in going to pitch up at the races, that makes it terribly difficult to predict the outcome.

This is a great post. Most punters are not mugs and recognise that when form is untrustworthy then its better to apply your time and effort elsewhere. This is why the p6 pools are consistently lower than those of the pa at the groot gat.

Blindly following a stable, jockey, lucky number, fah fee good thing of the day is for mugs. It makes more sense to go to a casino and put the baby on a colour. You will double up 48% of the time. Far better odds than anything Kimberley could ever dream to offer.

You also do not run the risk of the roulette wheel testing positive!

Just imagine they actually enforce the In and Out running rule, there will probably be too many horses banned to stage a race meeting.
And is 'no suitable explanation' good enough for the stipes?
