.......I normally don't get involved with these patriotic support spats for our teams and product.....I\m in it for the thrill of seeing and wagering on better horseflesh no matter where it comes from.....MDK got a raw deal in that the wheels have come off the export programme and most horses did not get there in time.....I felt he had the best shot with Marinanesco but it came with a proviso that Bernard had to ride the horse to avoid a Soumillion type episode.....and look what happened....:S

.....then again this is an exact repeat of the Sourmillion saga....owners calling the shots on who should ride their horses.......:S

You forget how the horse was ridden on all his big wins?

.....have not forgotten.....but when one is selected to do one simple job.....just make sure you do it properly.....have no beef with Bernard as I really rate him.....but botching a ride at Durbanville is not the same as doing it in Dubai......:oops:
