Marco Van Rensburg stole that race.
Usually it would be the jockey sitting in 2nd place to cop the blame for letting the front runner get away like that, but I have a feeling Marcus was riding an unfit horse and just couldn't force the issue.
Nonetheless it was a clever ride from Van Rensburg.

WHAT A SCORCHER (WIN)
 :woohoo: 13/1
Last 3 runs
2 wins over the poly 2000m
And last race finished in 11th place
11th place but only 2.90 lengths off
Drop to the 1900m,good draw
Jockey and Trainer have a good record
Sherman has rode 4 of Jeff's 6 winners for the season
Hopefully drifts of to 15/1
But going to lump on to the 13/1 available

R3, thought Spring Fling needed the last outing, should go very close today.
R8, Zagara looks to be the one they all have to beat.
Need Marcus to arrive to close the double.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
