ROYAL ASCOT DAY ONE

>
> Good morning all and we are having another public holiday in SA.
>
> I gather yesterday was Youth day, so probably the majority of Clan posters don’t qualify.
>
> We have Windsor tonight before the Royal Ascot 5 day meeting kicks in.
> On the local front we have Kenilworth where Nexus and Boomps A Daisy should be the bankers.
> As far as Windsor the well bred Hamish looks a blinder at 17/20.
> Sir Roderic might also be worth an ew at 4/1 to give us a kitty for RA.
>
> We also have some great racing to look forward to over the next couple of months with the Irish Derby, July and the ARC, but let’s focus on day “one at Royal Ascot “.
>
> Queen Anne:
> Very difficult open affair where I fancy Lauren’s 7/1 to fight it out with Barney Roy 7/1 and could be worth a swinger.
> Coventry :
> Arizona 5/2 can win for the O’Brien / Moore combination and Ryan needs to get back on winning ways.
> King Stand :
> Should be a great clash between Battash 5/2 which I prefer over Blue Point 3/1.
> St James’s Palace:
> Another treat in store where Phoenix of Spain 2/1 should confirm the form with Too Darn Hot 5/2 but I understand TDH is back to his 2 yr old best form?
> Ascot Stakes :
> Very open and will take a chance with Frankie on Batts Rock 10/1
> Wolferton:
> Magic Wand for O’Brien/ Moore combination could have a change of luck after ownership eventually passing from Jooste to Mrs John Magnier.
>
> Just to touch on the other weeks highlights
> Wednesday the Prince of Wales:
> Magical, Sea of Class, Crystal Ocean and Waldgeist ......WOW!
> Thursday the Gold Cup:
> Stradivarius should be star of show however the Melbourne Cup winner Cross Counter will certainly make it a good race.
> Friday we have Ten Sovereigns and Sat Invincible Army, which will ensure a superb week of first class racing action.
>
> Good Punting

It's Royal Ascot time and while for me, it doesn't come close to Cheltenham, it is still a great 5 days for the racing lover.
If over the course of the week, I get half as many winners as we did @ Cheltenham 2019, we will be withdrawing loads over the 5 days.
Anyway, onto the business
Race 1 - Le Brivido 5/1, Barney Roy 6/1
Race 2 - Arizona 5/2 (NAP), Makyon 25/1
Race 3 - Battaash 2/1, Imprimis 10/1
Race 4 - Too Darn Hot 9/4
Race 5 - Mengli Khan 11/2, Coeur De Lion 15/2
Race 6 - Magic Wand 4/1, Willie John 10/1
