We can read all the form we want but it's up to the trainer to have the horse in the so called right form,and the bookies probably knew something about Knights Templar for it's odds to double before race time.

and just to clarify i went on 19 06 19 which was over 1800m where chrome yellow got caught on the line was only 0.5kg worse off with kt this was now 1700m
kt carried 60 now 58
chrome yellow carrier 58 now 56.5 not sure how my sums are wrong ???????

Bopp according to the weights today Knights Templar should have beaten Chrome yellow by an extra half a length on their last meeting.
KT 2 kg's less and CY 1.5kg's less.
CY was beaten 0.4 lengths so today should have lost by at least 0,9 lengths.
Maybe the 100m less played a part as you said by for me Snaith didn't have Knights Templar up to full fitness coming back from a break,the drift said it all.

yes but you went on 2000m form i went on 1800m form based on penultimate the horse had a good shout cant go on that theory when its not the same distance

The thing is your horse won and you the happy one.
The 3 or 4 length turnaround in form,for me anyways,tells me Knights Templar was not brought to the races fully fit.
