Murray and Zechner got the pace badly wrong there. They managed to run the favorites third to last and last, must have been a sprint race pace set by them.

Why don’t you resign from your present job and apply to the jockey club to be a jockeys advisor on how to ride because every single day you complain about the riding.

Play nice:), de Kock shoud employ Khumalo as the stable jockey. Never forget the success the Tarry yard had prior to his injury - given the stock, this chap is good. Light- weight jock, based i Joburg, the results will come - trust me.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Just saying what I think and that’s what a forum is for.
Wrong sometimes, right sometimes, just like some good and bad rides.
You won’t appreciate the good without seeing the bad.

Last one for today
VALBONNE (WIN)
16/1
Same owner and trainer as the favorite,Don't think will be a problem if the outsider stable companion wins
Was a 900k buy only earned under 500k
Not gelded, maybe win a few more    could go to stud
11 Draw but 3 scratchings
So moves into draw 8
Warren Kennedy sure has been ridding well this season and especially in the highveld, will be nice for him to win the first group race of the season
VALBONNE
Last 10runs wins over the 1200m and 1000m and some short places in some good company
Best run in the 10 was in a pinnacle stakes at Kenilworth over the 1200m carried 57kgs and finished 3rd 1.50lengths of UNDERCOVER AGENT
REPEAT OF THAT RUN,AND CAN WIN TODAY

....i like him too and have copied a post I did when he was in CT
The Crawford runner race one would be interesting if any money(Juxtapose half bro)
......scratched.....but I do hope this fella is OK....especially when Brett said that it was doing well in work....did not quite fetch a ZAR BAR as expected at the sales....had a pretty banged up knee and was taken off an earlier sale.........really liked the ped and very well named...
....Valbonne is an old historical town with great attractions good restaurants situated inland between Cannes and the Monaco border nearby....also nearby is the river VAR that flows into the sea on the Cote' Azure in southern France.....

....recon he would have been a much better performer had he not had an injury....not that he feels it but I recon all the pampering and nursing when he was a baby made him a softy....but he is very well bred....

He's likely to have a holiday after dropping his hands on Angel's Power

5 years 9 months ago....he may be vindicated in the boardroom if he pleads that he was trying to straighten up but he did not seem to know that it cost him the race....pity had both of them in my exotics....and an outright win would really make it really pay....:SPC wrote: He's likely to have a holiday after dropping his hands on Angel's Power

You would expect the objection to be upheld due to the nil margin in defeat.
The only problem is that Angels Power was going to win for sure until he ran into Prince Kahal.
So did Angels Power prevent Prince of Kahal from winning or did he just mess up his own chances?

I'm okay with the dead-heat. Can't win them all. Fair play to Angel's Power - just would not wilt.
