Yip, they will only stop this feeding frenzy when there is absolutely nothing left and then they will leave office with their coffers overflowing whilst the masses beg for a crust....

...of course, on their way out, they will remind the masses that its all Van Riebeek's fault.

So why should Gold Circle think that they are any different to the rest of South Africa? While it is clear that this move was underhanded, we should never lose sight of the fact that racing is, and will always be seen as, a white elitist sport. Our fearless leaders must have the view that every meeting is a July meeting, and there is no reason to subsidise. Just have a look at the GC board, the GC trainers, the GC jocks, the GC owners. What percentage of those are black africans? I'm pretty sure that the Indian population would not count in this equation.

The obvious question that needs asking is what action, if any, was taken by the GC board when Phumelela lost their 3% present? Surely to goodness even Forest Gump would have realised that it was inevitable that it would only be a matter of time before the thieves came knocking? If my sums are correct GC went bleating and did fantastically. Instead of losing R24M they have now lost R40M. Well done.

I'm pretty clear in what I say.

Perhaps you would like me to draw a picture?

OTA, you still have not answered my simple question. So, if drawing a picture will help you explain, then do it.

Let me draw you a picture quite literally. I will reduce it to a level you should be able to understand.

There are two trainers in a training establishment. One trainer picks up a virus that has a material effect on the performance, and ultimately the future of his existence. The unaffected trainer has two choices:

i) Observe the effect that the virus has had on his colleagues operation and find out as much as to the causes and prevention of the virus so as not to be affected.
ii) Ignore the situation and hope like hell this will not affect your yard.

Which choice do you think GC made?
