Splicing Greyville was unforgivable. All it did was made two half-tracks.

5 years 3 months agoWhat utter trash , what do these so called punters expect ? Racing is gambling and yes there is no doubt under handedness is going on but is it that apparent anymore ???. Those two horses , that were short priced favourites , that Marcus rode who never won . The first one , God love it , broke it's flippin leg in running , the second one was a very moderate animal that had already had 12 runs !!!!, it also went down like quote " a mini on 4 flat tyres " and was a touch short striding out . I chose to lay it on Betfair as a result. Just because guys put the lights out on a horse can't mean it will always win or even place , otherwise they would all win or the very least finish second . Really pathetic reaction on the course that day . Granted the engagement of Marcus can result on a much shorter priced horse resulting in a false or no value price but at the same time Marcus can be the difference between a short head loss or a win . Really gets to me this , if you don't want to get burnt don't hang in the kitchen , this stinks of this new woke , snowflake, entitlement culture that is steaming in on all fronts all over the world , rant over .

....did it rain again during the day as predicted....sense that Gold Circus is now quick to realize that abandoning meetings costs less than putting them on....that track could have been harrowed to break the surface pooling (seen it done here before) and a meeting put on......but I guess where there is no will there is no way....

It rained for most of the day. Track was a total mess.

The official amount of rain was 100mls but this was only because the rain guage could only hold 100mls. It was overflowing so obviously more than 100mls. IMHO until the operator's are 100% certain that the jockeys are going to be riding right through the meeting to and including the last, they will rather cancel/ abandon the meeting than start and have to stop after a race or 2.
