PROBLEMS WITH SITE?

How could a site paid up on 8 October 2007(14 Feb 2008) be cancelled? Looks like a script hack to me, maybe the hosting company trying to cover up that their security was breached...

How could both domains expire at the same time, they were registered on different dates? If they were cancelled how did some people get through and others dont?

Firstly the africanbettingclan.co.za was not the problem, it was the .com that experienced the problem as far as the renewal goes and purely the fact that the co.za is a domain alias of the .com caused the co.za not to be displayed as this would result in the co.za taking on the characteristics of the .com domain.



Secondly the ‘very advised user’ should note that the item on the 14 of February is a transfer and not a payment and thus the site isn’t paid up until the 14 February 2009 but until 08/10/2008.



Thirdly there was no security breach otherwise it would not have been a gradual degradation of services as was the case as all the DNS servers around the world updated to the new information.



Fourthly if it was a script hack why where the IP address not resolving to our servers IP address whilst this was going on and once the service was paid and Afrihost changed the name servers back , gradually as the DNS servers across the world updated service was restored.



The detail obtained below is available to everyone on the internet via the co.za domain.

I'm not an expert in hosting, but why did the site divert to what looks like a common script hack namely : the adverts...why did it not divert to the hosting companies "parked" page to say the site has expired or just not show up at all - as in "page cannot be displayed"?

These are just curious questions I am not implying that I am an expert in asking these.

And by the way I know the second date was a transfer hence an amount of R0.
