I have been told that Wehann Smith and Mark Bass are the people you should be talking to. I'm sure David Safi has more information on this for obvious reasons.

Why would you be using that site in the first place, support formgrids rather.

So it was not Divan that initially helped Rob Scott and co set up Racebook but in May 2016 a banner advertising a security fence company in Sunninghill was embedded on Tellytrack com website, the SP editor actually phoned the company and they claimed that they were out of business but the owner Fred said his son was an IT fundi, this may give a clue to whom Scott was collaborating with at the time.

What is very interesting to note through both stories is that the RA, Phumelela, NHA and who knows else, discussed, pontificated and basically did nothing to develop a system with the potential to drive business.

So, over years, all these people in management positions kept on running around looking for "new" ideas to drive the interest in punting and owning race horses but did nothing with a system that was proven and had the ability to drive exponential interest in racing???

It is clear that we should already have an electronic system which informs owners of nominations, confirmed runners etc.. There should already be a collateral form guide system freely available to punters or even at a fee which includes electronic race cards, whatever you can think of, it should already exist.

Why should any new structure keep any management that failed to act over the last 10 years???

@tigershark I agree with you 100%. That lot are worse than useless and should never again hold any management positions in racing.

Unfortunately what we think carries no weight. Savage has publically stated that he believes people deserve second chances in my opinion if this transpires, the only second chance would be to continue being useless.

What is the actual process to follow when anyone wants access to the racing data from the NRB? Or it's about connections?

Some people seem to get access to this data easily, whereas the rest of us send emails to a black hole.
