Just looked at the online card! Jeez it’s frustrating with the numbering system with regards to weights etc... for an experienced racing person, it’s more confusing than anything. The new person will have no chance with this stupid system. Bring back the old card like the rest of the country. Personally I won’t have a bet tomorrow but will watch with interest and try and work out what the F@& is going on..

What would assist the punters a lot is if the trainers passed comment on a horse's program. That way as a punter you would be in a position so gauge whether the horse is having pipe opener, or having a full tilt. Case in point, the first and fourth races tomorrow. There doesn't appear to be barrier trials for the time being, so the first race favourite although being a two year old, has competed in some features in the Cape and done alright. He could be good enough to win tomorrow, but what is he being aimed at, and will they cut him in half to win R 43 750.00? I have reservations about the two year olds competing in open company at this time of year, but over the minimum distance, a horse like Thomas Henry could be good enough to win.
The fourth race on the other hand, over 1400m, I wouldn't hesitate taking on the two year olds on, especially with Marcus up on the favourite (not meant in a disrespectful manner at all). Fast Love has drifted from an opening call of 16/10 to 22/10, swop the jockey, what price then.
I'm going to try and single out a horse on each day's card, as oppose to playing the majority of races each day.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Could be some very competitive racing for some time to come as winning will be everything with so little on offer and so few opportunities for jocks, trainers and owners. The results will be very hard to predict but the races should be exciting. Good luck to all having a flutter.
I reckon for the first time in a very long time (ever since the NHA lost their teeth) we will have all runners trying ... so contrary to other opinions, I reckon one will find that the 'right' ones will be winning most of the races.
