I never back a horse on a fourtimer so will give Erik the Red a miss and have a small bet on the Vaughan Marshall first timer Freedom Park. One thing I have learnt over the years is that Vaughan Marshall is no mug with juveniles... and this one is impeccably bred imo.

Taken the absolute minimum on Watch Me Now, going looks a bit sticky, jumping from a decent draw.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Too easy for Greg Cheyne there.
Plenty horses just going for the run today, check Fourie on Halliberry, asked him to run late and didn't give it the Fourie ride to try and finish 2nd or 3rd.
That's two favorites from the Snaith stable running out the money so far.
I think these big stables have too many horses and when all of them have to come back from a break at once they battle to get them all fit.Snaith did well at Greyville but that was is assistant trainers good work and they obviously have less horses down at Durban than they have in Cape Town.
Look at Tarry on Saturday.
Smaller stables probably have more time to spend on each of their horses.

Bass Robinson horses can be brassed with ease. Plenty fancied horses finishing towards the rear...

Erik the red should win on the canter - Cannot believe the kind of support for the second favourite against it - They are different class horses altogether. Second favourite won against Sh Boom who was an absolute dog in race 1 today. No chance of beating the favourite.

And that's 3 in a row for Snaith.
Suppose it's very hard to get them all fit at once.
