well done Mr H...

however I felt that All Time High was the biggest loser in the race...not that I'm saying he would have won...

thanks Craig...It places perspective...we also don't know the condition of the hoof...Farriers cannot perform miracles...
All we ask for is the shoe to be put on properly the first time,no miracles needed in that Pirho.
If our farriers are world class why do shoes fall off sometimes every meeting?
Overseas they might come off once a month if they lucky and that is all over the world on all different types of grass and synthetic surfaces.

A half breed horse or a 6bar champion are both equal in temperament- its the people training them that differ... There are certain stables that I see always have horses that perform at stalls etc.. It can't be the breeding so it can only be the trainers -The only way to sort it out is to either fine the trainers or scratch difficult horses - Same as shoes - New rule - Shoe off before the start then either scratch or permission should be given by trainers before race to remove a shoe(s) or scratch... why should well-heeled and well-behaved horses have to suffer because of incompetence by the prep staff?

Hi Durbs...you are assuming the that hoof is not the problem...we do not know if all stables have their own farriers...once the hoof is compromised...no-one can do a repair without surgery...and that is my opinion...

Not a bad day at the races for Cliffie Miller.
2 runners, a fourth and a winner.
Plus the winner in his colours bagged about R45000 stakes.
The grass is greener in the Garden Province.
