the reality is as follows:
1: MOD and we move from bootie bootie and onto sister sister with a sprinkle of the chosen few
2: Betfred well what they did here in the UK with the tote is deplorable.
The only way I can look at this is that at the age of 50 i have about 20-25 years left and that is if I'm lucky so what ever happens to racing happens. Its dead either way the glory days will never return.
I have not given up 100% in fact we bought ore horses but to be honest either option is not for me.

....maybe MOD should let Fred get ahead.....and try take a smaller piece of the pie....why not nourish Cape racing and help it stand alone with a bespoke Dubanville training centre and not get embroiled with the mess that Phum created.... best Let Fred sort that out by building a better tote that can generate viable income streams to support the other assets that suck all the potential profits....if Fred gets the lot those Cape boys are going to get a shorter end of the very short stick....and with all our eggs in their basket nothing will remain unscrambled....then Humpty may never ever be fixed.... .

I am being told by a variety of sources that John Stuart has been shouting his mouth off about him being the man that will head up Betfred SA operations.

.....no surprises here as all the usual suspects will also be polishing up their CV's.....the Betfred option will be no better than the coterie controlled Phum.....

Muhti, you surely are not serious about WC racing???
Couldn't stand on their own, ran at a loss when sponsored by GC and continue to run at a loss with Phum and that is not even taking into account how little the tote turnover in the WC is. Maybe get the bookmakers to sponsor racing there?
If anything the WC should be reduced to 1 meeting a week until they bolster their fields.
Fairview with 1 course and 2 tracks have more horses racing weekly than WC with 2 courses and 3 tracks...

.....they seem to have pulled finger since the lockdown scare.....but they still need an injection and if and when Phum get a Fred make over .....there may be much more Vaalies heading to the sea.....should the Cape boys look at selling Milnerton and developing Durbanville(get MOD to buy into it) the Cape will be the ideal racing mans utopia....free from the smelly dump and frost ravaged winter tracks....

Reminder
Dear Sir/Madam
As a gentle reminder please ensure that you register for both the Zoom meeting and for voting in good time prior to the meeting on Tuesday 1 September 2020 at 11am.
Details on the procedures are as below.
Kind regards,
Registration, Meeting Format and Voting Procedures
The mechanics of the meeting to be held on the 1st September 2020 at 11:00 am are as follows:
Zoom Meeting
The meeting is to be held via Zoom. Users will be invited to the Zoom meeting and need to register prior to the meeting. In order to do this, you need to have downloaded Zoom for your Windows PC or Apple Mac ( zoom.us/support/download ). Should you wish to use a phone you will need to go to the App Store or the Google Play store to download. As you will only be a participant and will not be setting up any meetings there is no cost.
Once you have downloaded Zoom you can register to attend the meeting at: us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_St03Q0gXTOiZkxrEU4icZg
Voting
Voting will take place using the brpa.co.za voting tool. No application is needed, it is a secure website with a URL ( brpa.co.za ).
Creditors need to complete and return a duly authorised proxy form (attached) that mandates an individual to vote on behalf of the company. Please send these forms to iainstockill@rsadvisors.co.za.
Once the form has been returned the users will be invited, via the tool, to register on the website. Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters and include at least one upper case character, one lowercase character, one number and one non letter or digit. The website is built on a Microsoft Azure platform and applies the latest POPI principles of information management. The appointed proxy will be able to cast votes only once they have registered on the brpa.co.za voting tool.
The meeting questions will only be available once the meeting commences. In the interim there is a ‘voting test’ question that users can vote to familiarise themselves with the process.
During the meeting when voting takes place users may vote as many times as they wish (should they change their minds). However only the last vote cast will count in the final tally and only one vote per Creditor will count). You may set up more than one user to vote in case you are concerned about availability of attendance. The users are then ranked in terms of which persons vote will supersede others.
Kind regards
John

You need to be a scientist to be able to vote by the looks of it.
