It basically totals values of a series of handicapping factors both conventional and non-conventional. Here I post, as an additional set of ratings for member's use (in addition to whatever method they use). This for Race 1. The soft underfoot conditions of course can make nonsense of any ranking system, most horses aren't iceskating candidates and the poly would have a similar kind of effect but not to the extent that rain would.

I have used the rankings often to unlock a bit of value which I combine with top selections or the favorites in swingers and exacta's etc. Often the rankings coincide with the market's view which is usually a pass for me with vertical exotics.

Race 1 FRV turf

Comment: Here a horse like #15 WonderWoman ranked 4th is of interest at 40/1. Even if it runs a place you are looking at 5-1. There are FTS in the race so those could also upset the applecart but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Hi Ptahotep

I like this.

I also did some studying last night ( based on Poly) and came up with similar top 2.
So , in my opinion, I think that Gimme a Rainbow is a false favourite. Lets see only the race will tell.

Thanks Deeno, my only concern is the 2nd-start-after-layoff syndrome for #13 Izze Kloth which is a bit of anti-value.

Nice to see Mr Oosthuizen has engaged from different jockeys for some of his runners, no disrespect too any jockey in Fairview but a change of jockey does help with results sometimes holding thumbs for you Mr Oosthuizen

Great thunder /Cana
Burnt paper sky
La bastide (this horse has to hit some form one day )

And to end Northern storm in the last .

Tricky with the change of course now as some really bad draws will not help.

All the best

Is Lyle Hewitson ever going to come back and ride for the Bremner stable?

This card looks a nightmare and not helped by change of surface.
We have Seeking Wisdom in race 7. can run on poly but i think a bit better on turf. has an ew chance today in an open race.
holding thumbs for Ziets with Cana in race 2. Favourite drawn 18th which is very tough for a first timer.
