Can we blame climate change for our tracks degrading so quickly or are the new maintenance teams not up to the job?
I battle to remember years back if the jockeys every protested.Meetings where cancelled from the start but I don't really recall too many protests half way in the meeting.
10 or 15 years back.
Or where the jockeys back then men and now they just boys.
It's a bit like being a lifesaver but refusing to work if the waves get over 6 foot.

As Felix pointed out tongue in cheek, this habit of protests after pick six leg 2 is becoming a bit laughable, and yet another reason why spend on local racing has gone down to a tenth of what it used to be. Pity the tote cant tell their head from their erse, as Bob would say, when it comes to the international offering and what the punters want.

4 years 10 months agoAfter the running of the 2nd leg of the p6 the fields will apply, resulting in the clubs deducting the taxes and racing fees whilst the punter must be happy with a R5 p6 payout..Thor wrote: As Felix pointed out tongue in cheek, this habit of protests after pick six leg 2 is becoming a bit laughable, and yet another reason why spend on local racing has gone down to a tenth of what it used to be. What are they protesting about, too much sunshine?
It's all the shit like this that chase the punters away, races must be on time and everything else must be ready to make sure its on time.
