Too many hard luck stories and trash rides.

I suspect you talking about De Kock's horse in the first.
The top trainer that he is,lately his horses are a bit inconsistent and you just don't know what type of run you will get from them.
Bold Resolve ran a disappointing race.
He has a few more today lets see how they go.
DURBS YOU'RE SPOT ON THERE................ & his Stable jock runs HOT & COLD on the same day..
u just never know what type of run you're gonna get these days..... ( never used to be like this )

I've been gambling and watching horseracing since 5-yrs old.
25-yrs later and I've never seen a more inconsistent state of affairs.
Started my day with:
Lagertha (Win) x Royal Wulff (Win) x Midnight Caller (Place) x Shortstop (Place)
Lagertha gets beat by a horse returning from a 3 x month layoff and a very poor recent outing.
Royal Wulff is then scratched.
How and why do we study if trainers aren't keeping their horses on the boil and are all prepping for another day.
When was Royal Wulff scratched?
At the start?
The winner of that race, Indlamu, was the only danger.
Take the deduction and stand in the queue?
But let's wait for the big race days.
Where everybody is trying to win as opposed to the trash that I see during the week.

In The Game was given a shocker of a ride by Julius Maphanya in his last outing.
Think he will fare better today and be in shake up at 30-1 (w) & 9-2 (p)
Had that onto Lord Melbourne at 7-10 (First 4) in other bets.
My two cents.

I agree AJ
Our racing has become very disappointing and too much of a gamble.
You right it wasn't like this ten or so years ago.
Punters will soon leave.
Owners, well you got to have money to burn or nothing upstairs to own horse.
No confidence in racing means no punters and no owners, and who will lose in the end?
Yes the trainer and the jockey. They the ones who will be without a job,the punter has many other better betting options and won't miss SA racing.
And as for the owner,he will have so much extra money in his pocket he won't know what to do with it.
So the moral of the story is......trainers and jockeys got to do their jobs properly or they soon will be without jobs.
