Race Track: Turf. 3000m oval circuit. Races up to 1600m straight course; beyond 1600m clockwise round turn with 1000m run-in.

Best Draws: Low-number draws slightly favoured in 1700m races.

Last chance of a xmas bonus

Hi all…last chance to make some Christmas pudding 😊

Race 1 – not a fan of these marathon trips when it is a maiden plate so main players should be 2/4/8/10 with preference for Fast Draw as a decent place bet
Race 2 – Ration My Passion the one to beat no doubt but chances to 1, 2 and 3
Race 3- Mary Gold’s runs to Summer Pudding are enough to take care of this field…Miss Elegance though, won well last time and should give her a go to the finish
Race 4 – Bold Resolve won well last time and could repeat but I think that it is beatable….gonna back up with the 7year old Kings Cup and Drummer Dude
Race 5 – Now that Lily Blue has found her feet in SA looks hard to beat and should be on up…my banker in everything
Race 6 – Making the Scene has found a new lease of life and will make them run again…but just because she is a filly taking on the boys, I would include more in exotics…tricky after her
Race 7 – Kings road is no slouch and will be right there…The Captain obvious chance with the claimer and Valyrian King another looking to steal it
Race 8 – not easy to end the day and if budget allows, go field in P6…you don’t want to go out coming this far…ones for the shortlist though are 1/7/9/11/13/15

Run-of-the-mill meeting - thoughts:

R1: Not the easiest start; Attentive has found form and was running on over 2000, so should get the trip, however should be comfortably held on their last runs by Fast Draw, who should also hold Passing Storm; The Sandwich Man curiously tries blinkers again, after disappointing with them last time - may be worth another chance; Hukum tries further and this trip could be what he is looking for - 9,4,8,1,2,3

R2: I make this a very tough race; Ration my Passion in form and looks the ideal floater, but even Dancewithadragon at the bottom of the boards are not without hope here

R3: I think Marygold should hold the 3 yr-olds at these weights - 1 from 2 or 3

R4: Bold Resolve has found another weak lot, but at the weights I do think that Magic Vision is the right one; Dice the Bullet needs further improvement with Zabarjad, who may be better over further - 8,2,3,6

R5: Competitive F&M handicap; Lily Blue has found her feet and should give another good account; however both Just Kidding and Rouge Allure are weighted to give her a fright here; Tahitian Orana does seem better over 1600, but I think she will be more patiently ridden today and could upset - 6,2,5,4,1

R6: Greek Fire a big disappointment (they paid 3 bar for him :ohmy:) - has not won for 738 days, but is surely down to a level where he will be competitive and has found a moderate looking lot; the filly Making a Scene has found form and does get 2.5 kgs from GF - this is a handicap, so if the ratings are correct, there should not be much between them; Private Ruler off bottom weight has been running fair races, and may be competitive at these weights; Podcast poor last effort, but may have a chance on his penultimate - 4,1,9,5

R7: Competitive sprint; Captain Morisco has been lacking extra late, and the blinkers have been fitted to try and make him run to the line - who knows if they will do the job, but if so, he should prove hard to beat; Valyrian King may have needed his last run and looks to be the main danger form King's Road; Galactic Warrior could surprise if allowed to stride - 1,4,3,2

R8: Another race that seems closely matched; Afriel is her own worst enemy, but if getting away on terms, could be right there; Samoa the biggest danger, but does seem held by Afriel on a line through May Queen; Brooklyn Bridge and Feather the Nest both look better over 1400, but can't be ignored, while Soul of Whit has always looked capable and may improve for the new stable - 13,11,12, 2,4,15,7
