Only a brave punter would take 6-10 on a horse trained by a trainer with a 6% strike rate and ridden by a jockey with 20% strike rate on favorites this season,14% on favorites last season and 13% on favorites the season before that.
Well below the 33% of favorites that win.
Sorry that 6% and 20% was for season 2019/2020,can't seem to find this seasons stats so they could be better this season.

Summer Pudding's grand dam Carolina Cherry produced the sensational grade one winner Cherry On The Top who was trained by ex trainer Ormond Ferraris.

Still remember she finished tenth that day behind Legislate a newly bred sire in South Africa in what went down to gun and tape at the finishing line between Wylie Hall and the Justin Snaith trained Legislate.

Go Summer Pudding Go

I came on here (have not read the thread today) to b!tch about Great Stratz ... picked up the blinker strike , thought the cut in the ground would suit...put in my qtet but floated 5 x6 ...did not put in my tfa where I bankered Incognito

But I find it odd that this self same Calvin Habib has a penchant for riding 20-1 and upwards priced winners but cannot win with odds-on favourites!!!

Maybe the pressure riding favorites and no pressure riding the outsiders.
Last season Gareth Wright, who is a competent jockey, rode 14 favorites and and didn't lead any of those into the winners enclosure.
The best stats for jocks who rode more than 10 favorites was.....
Serino Moodley 64% of favorites he rode won.
Dylan Lerena 53%
Sherman Brown 50%
Jabu Jacobs 45%
Donovan Schwarz 42%
Greg Cheyne 40%
