Well done Ziets, well done Sihle and Michelle/Harold, well done Luke and Eric and the Snaiths and all the connections. The day ended up having a nice touch with some good stories to it with the smaller guys also getting in. Really enjoyed it and made some cash as well.
Well done all.
Now for support for the smaller guys so that the competition and fields can be even bigger and more competitive next year.

I think everyone will go home with something. Celtic Sea, Captain's Ransom and Queen Supreme will be very hard to beat.
break a leg.
May be on the better horse compared to Kommetdieding, but for me on exposed form Rascallion has it all to do at the weights compared to some
Well done to the stable and the jockey, may they go on to dizzy heights with this horse :-
In order to give the others a chance, they should start now.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Most people have covered my sentiments for MET 2021. Good for racing day.
i however have a question for Zietsman.
Attie left the parade ring with Kennedy, but then returned to the parade ring. i thought oh crap something wrong. may i ask what happened?
i enjoyed Eric Sands forgetting to congratulate the Rattrays and his reaction when Stan reminded him. the human experience.
Marcus and Crawford were way more emotional than normal after RFR won showed that win mattered.
Neil Andrews for someone who had such a major operation late last year was on form for 7 -8 hours. well done
all in all Great advert for racing.

......Neil seemed to have toned IT down after the high horse QP performance......
......again a gr8 ride from Cool hand Luke his family are proud of him.....if he keeps his head he will be in the leagues of Dougie Whyte and Robbie Fradd the thinking type of jocks.....Luke must have watched how previous jocks botched it on RB by getting into him too early in the races....a cool patient ride by putting him to sleep and catching Richard Fourie fast asleep.. .....watched how Fourie's face dropped that confident look when he thought he had them stone cold only to see RB flashing on the outside rail... as they say in the Mastercard ads.....priceless....
not saying that Fourie bottled it... as even if he did throw the kitchen sink at his mount he would still have found 2nd box.....and all those okes that criticized or debated Eric Sands and handling of RB ....shame you suck....he is a salt of the earth trainer and is always under big pressure to deliver with this horse and I am glad he took a chance on young Luke that has proven that soft hands trumps the bustle and hard ride tactics that never suited RB.....pity I was almost out of ammo by this race as the prior payouts got me no traction as I was winning bets but balance was getting smaller.....did not need to splash big here though and got the Trifecta for smalls which paid rather well.....

Just read on SCMP that Luke Ferraris is going to Australia to ride, just waiting for his visa.

Hong Kong is the end goal, the short-term goal is to go to Australia, I’m in the middle of getting my visa sorted out for that,” he said

Anybody took the split times ? To me it seemed a muddling sort of pace, but the fact that Rainbow Bridge came from last and Belgarion also from well back, indicates the opposite

Stop go stop go pace upfront is normally a killer for every horse up with pace or stalking.... it is a silent killer and that create all up front falling flat and horses from well back that raced a much more even pace to fly up in the straight.
The more uneven the pace the better for horses from way off the pace.
