Work Riders vs Jocks Challenge

i would rather have seen a work rider jockey mixed flash meeting - 8 races alternate jockey Wr race - gap between races 25 minutes -

These workriders better be getting a 10Kg allowance from these jockeys???

They are getting a 50m start

Work riders will enjoy a 3kg allowance.

One thing for sure is that the Work riders will all be trying on every mount and when beaten will still try to finish in the placing sunlike the prima donnas that they will be racing against.

The real kudos must go to the owners who provide the mounts and the entry fees for these races...

Exactly. The western cape work riders are particularly new to riding competitively. Let's consider just a couple months ago rider Watkinson couldn't even ride out a winning horse to the finish, and rightfully so, she is so new to race riding. Is it going to be hands and heels race? Because the work riders don't have experience using the whip optimally. This is going to be a benefit for the jockeys. Much rather an inter provincial work riders contest than this uneven match up. Not to take away from the innovation, just could've been done better.

Would be interesting to see a challenge between Ex Jockeys and Work Riders, instead of the regular guys.
To level the playing fields a bit.

Minimum weights can be in line with what jump jocks ride with 70 to 75 kg.

I will pay to see the likes of M Roberts, B Marcus, GPuller, DBosch,RAgrella, RSham back in the saddle out on the track .
Medical teams and Ambos of good stature needed in attendance, as safety precautions .
