Nartjie is the right one, both Johnny Hero & Zeal And Zest will be right there.

Brave man to banker De Kock in anything these days.
Zackey on Johnny Hero,as soon as he saw he couldn’t win he gave it an easy ride compared to the way he was riding before and duly gets beaten for 3rd.
If he rode it with the same zest he was all the way to the line he gets 3rd for sure.
Better result for most but Big fines and bans should be the order of the day if jockeys don’t try all the way to the line even if riding for the places.

Had big chance on earlier form BUT when I saw "not striding out" last time I though best to leave him out - And Naartjie was beaten after 200m and Our Coys battled last 2 against fields 10 points weaker than this now a different horse - Sometimes I look at a result and cannot explain it except for that tired excuse used so often when form reverses - "horses don't run on paper"

Trying to beat Kennedy is mission impossible these days, but I'm gonna try anyway. There is little between Euphoriant and Last Cheer . Piccadilly Square drawn badly again but with a bit of luck in running could find a podium spot.

I agree Durbs, that stable has gone backwards, shocking results imo.

And horses make fools of people seems to be a valid excuse for everything that doesn’t go to plan with our racing.
No question the trainer or jock,no suspension for in and out running or horses missing the break,no inquiry into stable mates beating odds on shots,no asking the jockey why he didn’t try all the way to the line, just oh well that’s just another horse making a fool of us and all is forgiven and forgotten.

Very tricky Maiden Handicap. Just Magic unexpectedly improved a bit when stepped up in trip lto, today someone nibbled it and let it drift. That run though was good enough for a race like this. Who knows what to expect from Masaaken. Arizona Lady has a big chance as well, and so does Dutchessburnedette and Venus Flytrap.
