Run-of-the-mill meeting consisting of Maiden Plates, a Maiden Handicap, Classified Stakes and Handicaps - bar the first leg of the P6, it does not look that easy - thoughts:

R1: Very weak Maiden, I think it lies between Fort Commander and the juvenile Fugetthetime

R2: Money has not stopped for Cheringoma - on breeding needs a lot further, so I'm not convinced; Abalus tries further, but out of Var mare, so anyone's guess; Hollywoodbound must have a chance, but has a wide draw, while Covermeinsunshine improved in her 2nd start and may be looking for this trip from a neat draw

R3: Ultra Quick should prove hard to beat - only danger Frontline Fighter

R4: Does not the seem the strongest lot; Dancing Arabian best this trip and has a place chance; Pick a Lily also looks moderate, so it could lie between the juveniles Runway Princess and Silvery Blue; RP should improve, but has a wide draw, while SB looks a bit limited, but has a good draw

R5: Classified Stakes over a marathon trip; looks very competitive; the filly Twice the Act and the mare Ration My Passion in theory should have the edge, but not too much between them and Chevron on their last run; then we have the other females Smiley River and Laconia, who could feature as well; White Fang was a runaway winner in his Maiden, but got walloped by the Handicapper and does seem to have a lot to do at these weights, and then Zernez is also very well weighted here and could prove hard to catch if allowed to stride

R6: Maiden Handicap, and not easy; Laird of Breedon found trouble in his last start, but could prove good enough here; if he fails again, anything is possible

R7: The Contractor is on the up but will need to improve again to win at the weights today; Dark Tide and Ballon d'Or probably the main dangers with Nordic Rebel (has not won for 501 days), while Khumalo has won twice on War Jewel, so must have a chance as well

R8: Barney's Pride does look progressive, but will need to overcome the draw; Double Martini should be cherry-ripe and rates a big threat from a better draw

Enjoy B)

As Cream used to say

"If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have no luck at all "

Reduced to the double

I know this has no bearing on the quality of jockey but just checking some stats and if you had to bet on all a certain jockeys rides,in the top 50,only Khumalo and Simons would give you a profit.
Khumalo R40 up and Simons R5 up.
And Surprisingly the worst jockey to punt on all his rides is our champion to be,Lyle Hewitson.
Astonishingly you would be R436 down if you put R1 on all Hewitsons rides.
