Race (7)

Initial thoughts looking at the betting, Rockin’ Ringo (9/2) trying to complete the four-timer, has it all to do at the weight turn-overs.

Dubai Lights (20/1), gets a 5.5kg pull at the weights for a 5.50 length beating on the 24/04. The Second Wave (6/1), who race in the same race of the 24/04, is 3.5kg better off with Rockin’ Ringo for 1.05 length beating, and although is 1.0 kg worse off with Dubai Lights, don’t think it’s enough to reverse their placings in that race.
Royal Watch (5/2 joint favourite) is 3.0 kg better off than Rockin’ Ringo for a 1.25 length beating on the 07/04, and should run in the first two here.

My fancy is, All About Al (5/2). Although finishing behind Royal Watch in the latest run by 0.20 of a length, he was baulked for a run by the two tiring front runners and had to switch out for a clear run. The good thing was, he did come back at the field in the final stages, after regaining his stride. Blinkers have been fitted, and from a decent draw, he is the one they all have to beat.

My punt for the day.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race 5: Pleasedtomeetyou was caught late last start and in a small field should be able to go start to finish quite easily , my pick six banker

Race 2: Que Shiraz was a little unlucky on debut when baulked at a crucial stage , see some support for the Crawford first timer which imo will need to be way above average to beat the more experienced horse , double with pleasedtomeetyou my play

Developing formline KeepIt Secret - Bond and Aus Bob could improve those stats and are both big prices in Race 2 -Escape Plan in Race 4 from same 3 winner line

Lovely sunny day, minimal wind, course should be running fast for this time of year.
Race 1Nippy Winter has run some good races behind smart juveniles and is the one to beat. Camino Pallermo returns from a long break and has been running over further, but could surprise running fresh here.
Race 2 Of the raced runners, Que Shiraz looks best, but lightly raced babies can improve, and also first timers to worry about
Race 3 Cracklin Rose good debut should be the right one, but again a lot of unknown quantities. Veronique has run some good races and should go close.
Race 4 Arctic Ice should get it right today. We have Gentleman making his debut. Looks a nice sort and has had a grass gallop at Kenilworth. If not too green should run a nice race. Will be better over further.
Race 5 Open race. Pleasedtomeetyou has run well last two. Bold Respect is the class horse if fit.
Race 6 Driving Miss Daisy poor run after the break. At best should win, but needs to regain form. Little between 1,2,3,4 at their best.
Race 7 Rockin Ringo keeps defying the handicapper. The two 3 year olds, All about Al and Royal Watch look the right two here.
Race 8 A competitive race, but I liked the way Veni Vidi Vicci won after his long layoff, and he should relish the extra 200m. The handicapper was not too harsh and I think that he will win again. I backed him at 9/1 yesterday and I think he is good value even at the current 6/1.

Gee Stan should do his homework - Says only one runner has come out from Aus Bob debut - There have been 3 and all have won - Maybe someone can teach him how to use a PC and find Formgrids
