First one to come under pressure and beat one horse home.
Might as well scratch the horse if the word is out this horse wasn't right.

Oh well yet another pick 6 carryover on the cards.
I think 50% of this weeks meetings will have pick 6 carryovers.

Well beaten.
That's the problem here,if trainers can't bring the horse fit to the track they have to somehow warn the public.
Yes because of the drift we now know but we can't change our exotics half way through.
If we can't trust the trainers to bring a horse to the races in good nick or jockeys to not make costly mistakes we got nothing good going here.

Talking to jockeys this am, that horse on the outside hung right across the course last time with Serino and no suspension yesterday as she straightened it and there was a horse hanging out from the inside which made it look worse. Will try watch the head on today.

a) At the 150m, BERNIE’S DREAM (*J Jacobs) was bumped in by ANTIGONUS (*R Venniker) which was hanging in from the 300m. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, LORD WYLIE (D Dillon) and BERNIE’S DREAM (*J Jacobs) had to ease when awkwardly placed between GREENLIGHTTOHEAVEN (W Kennedy) which shifted out away from the crop and ANTIGONUS (*R Venniker). In assessing this incident, the Board was of the view that blame could not be apportioned to any individual Rider and in particular took into consideration the dual movements of Jockey W Kennedy and Apprentice R Venniker. Therefore, it deemed this to be a racing incident. However, Jockey W Kennedy (GREENLIGHTTOHEAVEN) and Apprentice R Venniker (ANTIGONUS) appeared before the Board with regard to the above incident, were shown the patrol films of the race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future.
very strange ruling - You can portion blame to both riders (The third fourth and fifth horses were affected )- This board takes no responsibility for penalizing and NOT PROTECTING the innocent horses affected by these two riders - It seems in SA Racing you can cause havoc as long as you end up in-front of the horse you've buzzed - So illogical and I wonder why they don't just bin interference rules as they seem very reluctant to use them - Any UNFAIR advantage should be acted on by changing the result not fining the jockey or warning him

This was a populist decision (as Antigonus was the favourite) but not a correct decision...
An interfered horse is unlikely to finish in front of the horse that caused the interference so the current rules allows the stipes to make up whatever subjective nonsense they deem fit to justify their, oftentimes, illogical decisions...

They got to bring back the old objection rules.
You cause interference and cost a horse a better place, you go behind that horse.
Watch how fairer, cleaner and less dangerous our racing will be.
