Cape racing got plenty of stick for field sizes.... What's JHB's excuse?

JP 2000 certainly won't need the run.

Can win without my money - It certainly took away too much of that already in it's 3yr old lifetime.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Really cramped odds and has been beaten by Bevoeterd who was 50/1 when Jp was odds on.
I think e/way Bevoeterd perhaps or swingers.
Not enthusiastic about the jockey Mayhew though.

Race 1 JP Two thousand 5th run in as many weeks. Hopefully he can do it today, but price is too skinny. Eagle River looks the main danger of the raced runners
Race 2 Picara my pick, dangers Lazuli and Walala Wasala.
Race 3 Defender of Rights overdue a win. Pashasha and Raising a Storm the dangers.
Race 4 Some smart fillies line up. Fennec Fox very impressive last time as was River Queraress. Show Time and Magic Tycoon plenty scope for improvement.
Race 5 Magic Tattoo has done nothing wrong, but has to give weight to Ode To The Ocean and Aridivicio. marginal preference for the latter.
Race 6 Competitive race. Remember When good win last time, but Bella Chica could turn the tables. Naarah good win last time, but now has to give weight to Alula's Star and Seemyvision. Bequest can pop up on best earlier form.
Race 7 Pretty Betty has been running against much stronger in CT and will enjoy the softer track. However, she may need another few weeks to fully adjust to the altitude. First time this track and a right hand bend. However, her jockey knows her well and she has settled into her new surroundings. Not sure what to expect from her today, but on best form should be competitive. Mount Laurel is the one to beat on her best form (close 3rd in the Garden Province) but travels up from KZN. Sent bydestiny bounced back last time and must be respected. Admire Me steps up in class but looks very progressive, but a tough draw. Hollywoodbound also an improving sort that can earn a cheque.
Race 8 Weak maiden, Forward Spell, Blonde Act and Canada Square look the main three, Duke of Normandy lightly raced and could improve.
