4Racing do not decide fixtures on their own. National fixtures are decided between the three Operators on a consensus basis subject in 2023 to the following:-
1. No Double-Header Saturdays
2. Saturdays are allocated based on Seasons.
We race 364 days a year:-
4Racing 120 fixtures
Gold Circle 120 fixtures
Cape Racing 64 fixtures
Eastern Cape 60 fixtures
The horse population at this point in time does not allow for any additional fixtures and the arrangement described above is what has been agreed to between the Operators for calendar year 2023. That said, fixtures are dynamic in nature and can be changed on a mutually agreed basis by the Operators should circumstances so dictate.
